This is a great cooler, I prefer it because its absolutely silent obviously but it's also very light weight, I don't know what wimp called it heavy it's very light and practical, I used to use a block of wood but this is way better for cooling a laptop, I have a sony vaio and it keeps the fans running low and the temps down as well. Very easy on the legs too, blocks some heat lets you stay outside without sweating.Some people may not like the style and I believe it should be priced at 19.99 but that's just me. |

great for some one that doesn't want to waste power on a fan notebook cooler. It is heavy with 640g sitting on your lap or carrying it in your bag plus your laptop. |

I use it so that I can put my laptop on my lap when I am watching TV. It does its job well, my lap does not feel any heat from the laptop, but I'm not sure if it really does anything to cool my laptop or not. But it is relatively cheap and fits a 15.4inch laptop very well, and you get to choose between black and white mats. |

Cons: -laptop slides off the top surface, but thats because the rubbers feets on my notebook came off-covers my intake fan underneath the notebok

The pad did help with the heat from my notebook. Before the fan from my notebook will always be on. Sometimes it will stay on and the whining noise from the fan got really annoying. I had my laptop on the desk and the heat build up under the notebook was very overwhelming.Now with the pad, the fan does not turn on as often. And the heat build up has been reduced greatly. The heat-shifting feature does help a bit in reducing the heat. As the pad heats up, the heat moves outwards and as its moving outward it starts too cool down.The only bad thing is that my notebook slides off the pad too easily. But I can't really do much because the rubber feets came off awhile ago. |

First person to review this notebook cooler!! Hope this helps! Bought this to try something different. I have experience with a four fan notebook cooler and now this soft noiseless notebook cooler. The fan cooler does cool better then this thermaltake, however the iXoft does have its advantages.This fanless cooler was impressive because there are no moving parts and therefore no NOISE. It does lower the temperature of the laptop under normal usage. The THERMALTAKE iXOFT is made of quality materials and workmanship. WELL CONSTRUCTED. It has a soft fabric material for the bottom of the pad and the top is of a flexible plastic material. Great for people who use their laptops on their LAPS. |
Thermaltake iXoft Black Notebook Cooling Pad
Nice product here. I wanted "something" to protect my lap from the heat of my laptop when listening videos in my bed with my GF (Don't get me wrong on this, I mean listening at stuff like Heroes, House or Scrubs...) and this does the job very well. With all the sheets and blankets it was difficult to find a cooler with fan that would have worked. This was a perfect choice and I'm very happy from my purchase. Just don't use it as a 24/7 cooler as it need a "cooling time" to regain its solid state.
