Cons: doesn't work out of the box

Pros: Price vs performance
Comment:
I bought this as a gift for my wife for Christmas. Installed the card and loaded all new drivers from amd Right after Christmas). Card had massive screen tearing right out of the box, her old 5770 had better fps and no tearing. Tired to call ASUS and never heard back from them for 4 days. By that time I had already went online, recived RMA number from them and sent it off. Packing instructions tell me to send in original packing, I did. I just received it back in a plain brown box, not even in a static bag. have yet to try it to see if it even works now...im not sure if it will by how it was packed.LAST ASUS PRODUCT I BUY. I would love to get my money back for this pile of crap, but its too late now, and I don't even have the original box now!

Cons: -the company Asus uses for the mail in rebate is terrible and out of the two i submitted, only one got accepted. They are not accommodating at all and if you can find this card on sale without a mail in rebate i suggest you take that one.-video card software can be buggy and

Pros: -Very good card for the money-Runs quietly-Overclocking is easy with included software
Comment:
DO NOT EXPECT THE MAIL IN REBATE TO WORK. THE COMPANY ASUS USES IS TERRIBLE AND AFTER JUMPING THROUGH ALL THE HOOPS THEY WILL SHUT YOU DOWN WITH NO RECOURSE.NOTE: I WILL EDIT THIS REVIEW ONCE THIS SITUATION TO RECTIFIED. I WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE GIVEN IT 5 STARS This review was modfied by poster @ 01-21-15 04:29 PM

Cons: Single HDMI port

Pros: Good price for performance ratio. Good size card for case. Three year warranty. Overlock ability.
Comment:
Got this card on the NCIX Black Friday special. It's not a high end card, but the performance for price ratio is top notch. I'm a casual gamer so it has just what I need for my needs. The card size was a selling point because higher end cards were about an inch too long for my case (which is quite large). Everything has been running great at the highest settings so far!Of note, the $20 Mail in Rebate is not a cheque. You will receive a $20 American Express Gift Card.

Pros: affordable good value

This card seems to play all games pretty well. Obviously, it is not a smooth as on high end cards but I thoroughly enjoy most games are high settings.

Cons: Amd game promo pack isn't quite as good as it used to be, but still quite nice.

Pros: Pretty cheap. Total cost is actually equal to total cost of all the promo/gifts/rebates. Plays bf4 max settings. Doesn't make any horrible noises.
Comment:
For $165: $100 3 steam games, $20 steam game code, $20 ramdrive software, $20 mail in rebate. Plus $20 off amd 16gb ram if I didn't already have that... No complaints.

Cons: - not a beast in absolute performance, but that can't be expected for this price

Pros: - excellent price/performance ratio- easy overclocker- very quiet (can't hear it above case fans)- stays pretty cool when overclocked- R9 270x performance at a lower price- got Star Citizen in the bundle!
Comment:
I run a 4-year old AM3 system. I wanted to extend its life by replacing its ancient HD 5670, but not spend too much as I intend to build a new system (including new GPU(s)) in 2015-2016 on Intel Skylake or AMD Zen to handle Star Citizen. I read that anything above a GTX 760 or AMD R9 280 would bottleneck my CPU. I also read that the R9 270 could be overclocked to get R9 270x performance. Given I'm a casual gamer and I was going to buy Star Citizen anyways, this card seemed like a no-brainer:$189.99 - $20.00 (rebate) - $60.00 (expected Star Citizen retail price) - $50.00 (anticipated salvage value of this card) = great deal!(That assumes that the Star Citizen version includes a full game package, which still isn't 100% clear)So far everything has gone to plan. I've upped the R9 270 core clock to 1120MHz (same as Asus R9 270x) and it works like a charm. Online benchmarks suggest you should be able to get 50-60 FPS in most modern games with a 270x at high settings). I've only tried Tomb Raider so far and been very satisfied. My card benched with 3D Mark is 7845 (stock) and 8756 (OC'd 1120MHz). I may try pushing it up even further in future as I haven't seen temps rise above 65. My CPU:- Athlon II X3 445 (unlocked to Phenom II X4 B45 OC'd from 3.1GHz to 3.875GHz)- CPUMark 5211 (1405 single-threaded)My cooling:- 1 rear 120mm fan- 1 top 140mm fan- no front intake or side intake fans- CPU has a Hyper 212+ rigged with a Noctua PF-12 120mm fan in push configuration

Pros: Well made and good price. Got it for $207
Comment:
Bang for the buck performance compared to 270x.Overclocked using MSI afterburner and was able to max out beyond the manufacturer settings of 1050 core. I was able to get 1170mhz core and 1520 memory without having any problems at all.Its cool and quiet. Underload max temps is ~65 and fan is only 60-70% and can't hear it at all.

This card meets my needs as a casual gamer. It's not too expensive and is almost as fast as its big brother 270x but save around $40. I would definitely buy again if needed. Another quality product from Asus.
