Cons: hmm, uhm, let me see...there's a non-BF3 version, i guess that's a con...

Pros: It's BEAUTIFULL! Everything you want when it comes to looks, form factor, placement of components, it's a balanced work of art, so make sure your case has a framed window...

Well, i really feel that this Mobo is the ultimate consumer board out there, it is the heart and soul of your entire rig. So why not start with the heartiest one out there?(*Punny)?Basically:Everything else = Peter ParkerAsus Rampage IV Extreme BF3-Edition = Spider-Man Dub-Step remixed into God!It's got the support for all the new tech that is FINALLY rolling out en masse(hence cheaper and you aren't the beta tester):USB 3.0PCI-E 3.064 megs of 2400 mhtz Ram support(it's not official but it is official...they just got lawyer's cold feet; probably?)onboard Bluetoothon-board audio that doesn't whineheatsinked like a Madcat(little Mechwarrior joke...)cooling capabilities with custom retailer parts that other boards wouldn't receive. AND THAT'S NOT EVEN THE BEST PART! The lovely new x79 chipset is a MONSTEROUS techno-vore capable of devouring any bites you care to throw at it(*Punny*)! That it has 2 cores laserd out isn't really a bad thing. There wouldn't really be anything software-wise that would have need of more than six cores ATM IMHO, so you are keeping voltage and heat down with a purpose of upgrading later when software finally catches up to our hardware, this Mobo could last you the current hexa-cored chips lifespan as well as when they realese the octo-core chips lifespan, thats two new highest power chips lifespan with one already top-of-the-line mobo.*Just realize that you will need some kind of cooling feature if you get the 3960x-e (i am not sure about other x79 chips cause this is the one i have so...), and more than likely you will want to go liquid cooled for the OC'ing potentialsYou will miss having money for all the upgrades you can sweeten this baby with.It fits snuggly into my chassis (810 Switch was designed for it pretty much i think) and is ATX-E...DO NOT forget that it needs an EXTENDED case, but not as extended as a lot of the other X79 Mobo's out there (they really lead the pack on form factor).the BF3 edition comes with a lanyard, and that may not be important for some of you, but just think, that is a 500-ish dollar lanyard i am flying proudly, and you damn straight that i will give props if i happen to see another...>;), Especially if they're sporting the "Lose the Lag" t-shirt...those who have it know what i mean... ;)You can go big or go home, but with this Mobo you can go get it, or go home...or another way to sat that; don't not get it now! Cheers, and rampAAAAAAAAGE!

Cons: a bit expensive but still worth every penny.

Pros: So many feature, Debug pannel is very useful.
Comment:
This is a beast, non less. So many feature i doubt someone will ever use them all! If you are serious about overclocking your lga 2011 you will probably look for this one. Great quality build.OCkey is a nice tool. +you get a bf3 game!Fast shipping, great services!

Cons: - Memory slots are too close to the CPU so if you have big heatsinks on the memory (like the Dominator GT), they may touch your CPU heat sink.

Pros: + Every possible feature imaginable
Comment:
This is an insane motherboard. Few people will be able to use it to its capacity. One of the caveats is that the memory slots are too close to the CPU so if you have big heatsinks on the memory (like the Dominator GT), they may touch your CPU heat sink.

Cons: X-Socket is a mess, no firewire port

Pros: Easy overclocking, lots of feature, ROG so great material and well built. Comes with BF3.
Comment:
Overall, awesome board. So many features, I probably will never use my board to it's full potential. I'm not an expert with overclocking, so this board is perfect for me. There are preset overclocking settings for gamers and it works perfectly. I've got to 4.45Ghz with my i7-3930k in seconds. For the Cons, the X-Socket tells that you can install your old LGA1366 cooler by changing the backplate. I was quite happy since I have an expensive CoolerMaster V8. The only thing is, it doesn't fit at all. The fan doesn't make contact with the CPU when I installed it. I've then bought an Hyper 212 Plus from Cooler Master and I couldn't install the backplate for it since there is already a backplate for the CPU socket. Had to buy a LGA2011 bracket to make it fit properly and removed the X-Socket entirely. So be careful with the X-Socket and make your searches on the Internet to know if your fan fits with the Rampage IV. I'm guessing that it's not all fans that fits. There is also no Firewire port. It's always nice to have it just in case. With a board with so many features, it would have been nice to at least have one.

Cons: heatsinks are alright

Pros: easy to overclock
Comment:
This board is freakin unreal, i highly recommend this board, to anyone who wants top notch MOBO. The only downside is that you need to wait for the 7000 family series and the ivy processor to fully take advantage of the pci express 3.
