When I got this, I was very happy with the finish of the front cover as it looks very nice. Attaching the 3.5" card reader or etc is not too bad. On the manual it says that you can actually put 2 2.5" hard drives if you'd like.I was a bit disappointed about the way my corsair 600t wasn't able to secure it without the screws in the 5.25" bay, but nonetheless I used screws to secure the side and it doesn't move any more. |

Pros: all same holes as a normal 5.25 in bay drive, works perfect with my corsair graphite 600t case and looks great dont even notice its a converter, solid construction Comment:
ordered this for the front USB 3.0 ports that come with my asus z68 mother board i noticed my case has no 3.5 inch bays. this adapter fits perfect with the tool-less bay ports of my case and the brush black steel goes perfect with the black front of it. good solid steel construction, im very happy with it. |

At first, I thought the bottum was top, because that would make more sense. Now, I have a vantec 3.5 inch fan controller installed on it, inserted into my HAF-X case, I suddenly realize that it is hard to connect the fan's power connector to the controller, because the controller is buried by this converter's "roof"...On a side note, this converter is about 1 mm narrower than other 5.25 inch devices I have, which means it is a little shaky with my case's tool-less lock. I have to "screw" it to the case. I would give a two star for this flaw, but the build quality get an extra one.Price matched to $13.84. |
I've got a 3.5" dual-bay 2.5" harddrive rack, and needed to move it to a 5.25" drive bay. This did the job perectly, and looks great to boot. It's metal, very durable, and feels solid. There's a nice brush coat finish on it and it matches my silverstone case and silverstone drive rack perfectly. They even put arrows telling you which end goes down and which goes up, so you can't mess up installation!Would highly recommend to anyone in need of converting a 5.25" bay into a 3.5" bay.
