Cons: -does not turn off if computer off (wastes electricity)-if running optical, every power on you have to put back to opticaldigital setting (unless leaving speakers on all the time)-turning off power switch resets all sound settings (very annoying)-from power off have to wait about 4 seconds to unmute speakers-no on off switch only on sub box-no headphone jack (I use USB headphones)-does not include an optical cable (already knew this) for the price it should have included one-bass cross over level is a bit annoying (only in very few situations) because speakers lack any sort of low range-bass is weak at low volumes without 3D sound-does not show which direction for volume up or down on the control pod-only 3 bass level settings selectable only by switch on sub box

Pros: -loud volume-optical input option-accurate sound-multiple (4) input options-Antec tech support (sound card had optical issues, wasn't sure if speakers)-compact sub-woofer-control pod has a nice rubber non-slip pad
Comment:
I would never consider paying $200+ for these speakers because of all the small flaws. However I bought these on sale. $179 or lower is where they should be priced as far as I am concerned, especially when considering how many oversites there are in the design. Even $179 is generous (unless you never power off your speakers) but the sound quality is worth the price. If you leave these speakers always on most of the issues don't really exist.I used both the optical connection and the analog and ended up sticking to analog. The RCA to 3.5mm jack may not have the sound quality of optical however if you turn off the speakers every time you turn them on you have to reselect  optical every single time (as well as unmute everytime). It is nice that you can run two sources fairly easy, connecting computer optical and TV by RCA is fairly straight forward. I have never seen a speaker system with so many small flaws in my entire life, luckily the sound is good and the system is still very usable. Most of the flaws can be avoided by leaving the speakers always on and most of the annoyances are resetting the settings like volume level as it goes super low, having to wait 4 seconds before you can unmute and waiting another few seconds to finally select  optical. If you leave these speakers always on the only real concerns are:-no headphone jack-bass is weak at low volumes (3D sound increases bass and distorts sound in a way that often sounds bad and is only really good for some games)If these were Priced at $159 or lower I would certainly have given them 4 stars. I paid only $134 on an NCIX sale however that is a sale price not the selling price. The sound quality of these speakers are very good, these have better sound than 4.1 and 5.1 speakers I bought in the last 7 years from NCIX costing $299 7 years ago for a 4.1 THX certified 400watts system or the 3 years ago $399 5.1 super high end Logitech speakers rated at 500watts RMS that are no longer listed. These speakers sound better because you have a little more detail in the sound you hear. The bass crossover is more of a nit pick than a real issue, however at it's price range I expected about perfect rather than very close but in most cases you will not notice this and it's very rare I notice (would be avoidable if speakers had a little lower sonic range)I made some suggestions to Antec and they passed the message to their R&D team on the speaker design. They were also quick to try and help and didn't wait long on the phone to speak to someone. They emailed suggestions to help when I had trouble getting the speakers to work relating to sound card computer sound settings. NOTE: **Have to change sound settings to PCM for optical**. In the case of an Asus sound card you have to go into the actual Asus sound control panel program to do this and open the hidden menu on the bottom right corner (circle with triangle within it).
