Reads SDHC. I get full card speed more than USB 2.. The design and style with two caps is kinda dumb. The caps don't sit on the physique nicely of the device nicely. I just tossed them as they are mostly a nuisance.

Performs nicely, and supposedly supports SDHC which is why I require it. I also bought a 32Gb SDHC chip with it. However, newegg split up the order due to warehouse availability. I second day aired the complete order. But at the time I did it, New jersey warehouse was already closed for the day. Unfortunate. I usually count on stuff arriving on time. Which is why I paid for 2nd day. The chip and really hard drive I bought were the explanation I 2nd day aired. I have neither. Let this be a lesson west coasters. You want to make your purchases by 9 - 10Am if you want the east coast to ship out that day :( Don't count on your supplies being in the california warehouse like I did. I paid for 2nd day for nothing. I have a card reader, and nothing else...Yes, I'm a small upset about this. I'll get more than it... There was a flake of anything inside the reader stopping make contact with. The computer system acknowledged a device, but windows was unsure of it. I blew the debris out, and voila! :)

This is a good card reader. I've in fact under no circumstances owned 1 just before. I personal the Nikon D7000, and transferring footage through usb cable was annoying. This device operates how USB 2. should perform. None so far about the device. The packaging was a bear to get apart...

Plug the memory card into the reader and plug the reader into a USB port. It doesn't get any less difficult than that. Works just about every time without having fail! It is smaller and doesn't block other ports. Can be utilised (with a memory card) just like any srorage device. No drivers are necessary. Just plug and study or shop! Absolutely NONE!!!!!! I bought this reader from NewEgg more than 4 YEARS ago and it is still working wonderful. Even the painted "Rosewill" on the side of the reader is still unblemished on the side. I have utilized this reader 1000's of times with Windows XP, Vista (Sucks) and Windows 7 with NO Difficulties!!!! I am a large fan of Newegg!!! THEY ARE OLD School!! IF THEY SAY IT, THATS WHAT YOU GET!!!! (I would like to see them go back to Fedex even though!)

This device operates perfectly with my Adata 16GB SDHC card (Class six). I had previously been employing that SD card for storage on my 20GB EEE Pc that I got rid of. Setup PortableApps on this device which performs flawlessly.Caps don't look to be as problematic as other reviewers have stated, but I haven't utilised it for extended. Device is a small big, but it appears to be as small as can be permitted to accomidate a full size SD Card.

Reads just about every SD card I put into it, like my 4GB Micro SD(have/need micro SD to SD adapter) and 8GB SDHC. SUPER quick! I didn't consider SDs could be read/writtten to so speedily.Operates in each USB port I've place it in as a result far.LED is that great blue that I see in so numerous cool appliances/devices.Has a hole in 1 of the covers so you can attach it to somethin'.I got it for about ű. Completely worth it! It's like they utilised an LED meant for a flashlight or some thing. It's abnormally bright. If you attach somethin' to that hole, it won't take much to separate the cover it's attached to from the actual device. I possibly won't ever use that aspect of it for that purpose. Slipery, -chuckles- yea.If I ever get a MMC to test it with I'll write about that.

This item was a replacement for a generic card reader of the identical type that came free with a digital camera, that quit operating right after 4 years of use. It has worked wonderful so far with no problems, I also like the fact that it can be utilised with SDHC cards as effectively. Appears of strong building and the black color goes effectively with my other computer decor.....lol! As some other reviewers have stated, the blue LED is rather on the vibrant side, but once more, goes properly with the blue LED fan in my Rosewill Blackbone case. Wonderful solution. Rosewill is promptly becoming one particular of my favorite brands for, (bang for the buck), appeal. This corporation is worth a appear for their merchandise if you don't want to pay for the huge brand names.

uncomplicated, sleek, lucid design. works with zero hassle. blue led lets you know it's workin'. under win7, took half a sec to automatically set up its driver. (is that a con?) Newegg as soon as once more proves you CAN have it low cost AND great AND rapid.

low-expense SDHC reader that's as transportable as a thumb drive. The plastic finish caps are really thin and break-simply. Each of mine broke. It also doesn't work with the USB port of my automobile stereo (a Pioneer), when other card readers do. It IS the initially SDHC reader I discovered that operates properly with my wife's Computer, and because she keeps it plugged in on her desk, the lack of end-caps isn't a issue for her.

Works just fine. Some sd cards are too massive and the lock can engage when sliding the card into this reader. The caps on the two ends crack really easily.

low cost, works excellent, reads all the SDHC cards i can throw at it and every single OS i've tried it in (including Win7 x64 and OSX 10.6) One particular of the finish caps cracked and broke soon after a handful of months of usage. The reader nevertheless operates fantastic, but it requires away from the aesthetics to have a cap with a chunk missing. The caps are produced from quite thin plastic. The only explanation it did not get 5 stars is the affordable high quality of the finish caps. It is still an exceptional sd reader for the cost.

Worked ok, for the couple of occasions i applied it. 1 of the initially SDHC capable readers i identified, back when i got it. I didnt use it really numerous instances. it stopped functioning when i flexed it slightly even though taking it out. didnt actually pull it very tough to make it bend. i anticipated it to be a bit tougher. largely my personal fault i guess.
