Cons: Shoddy in-line volume clip

Pros: Comfortable, decent audio quality
Comment:
Bought these a few years ago to replace an old headset, they did an alright job with daily use for a few years, but eventually started having problems with the volume clip. First it intermittently cut out audio in the right ear, then eventually lost it entirely, and sometime later the microphone stopped working.

Cons: expensivestereo flimsy

Pros: comfortable
Comment:
The razer charcharias is a middle of the road headset. Built cheap, works cheap. First off, the design of this headset is extremely flimsy, using 2 small pieces of wire to support the cans. It bends easily and cannot for fill the ability to last. I used the headset, it broke after 4 months from simply playing video games. I sent in a warranty and it took another 2 months for it to get back. For 80 dollars this headset is a rip-off, there are far better choices. For 80 dollars, you could be getting a 7.1 surround sound headset instead of this. The microphone is decent and the headset is comfortable, yet its padding is like a dust collector. This headset is mediocre just like most of razer's overpriced hardware but it is worth it for 40 dollars when on sale.

Cons: will hurt ears after wearing it 3+ hours

Pros: great sound, comfortable
Comment:
got this as a gift for xmas from my gf years ago. works great and still works great now (even dropping it multiple times). the earcups ARE fabric, so they WILL collect dust. but they are comfortable on the ears and head (will make you really warm in summer though).obviously, they will get heavy and hurt your ears/head if you wear them for too long, so take a break when you play games, go outside.

Cons: Ears get warm, there is alot of foam on ear pieces. My ears will sweat if I am wearing for too long.

Pros: Sound quality is phenominal! The noise cancelling mic. is also excellent quality! Mic., and volume controls on cord. Separate plugs for mic and headphones.Very comfortable to wear.

The Razer Carcharias Gaming Headset, is by far the best headset that I have ever owned! I bought a set a few years ago, when they were pretty new model, I paid over $100 for mine. I am still using them, and they work as good as when I unboxed them. N.C.I.X. put them on sale, so I bought a second set for My son! I would highly recommend them to anyone. The sound quality is awesome! And everyone that I game with, says the mic. always sounds awesome, even when a fan, or a/c unit is pointed right at it! Razer did an awesome job designing these! My head is also huge, and these fit Me so well, but lots of adjustment for smaller craniums too!!Thanks for another great deal N.C.I.X.!

Cons: Left / right?Inline remote clip

Pros: Comfort;Long, good quality cord;Good sound quality;Style (who cares); andCool packaging (who cares)
Comment:
Comfortable on the ears and top of head, very good sound quality, well made and a very good quality and long cord.My beefs are minor. I could not find a left/right indication on the headset. The mic is obviously only on one side, so once you figure it out the first time, no problems. Also, the clip on the inline remote just seems to open in the wrong direction.

Cons: None.

Pros: Comfort (5/5)Sound Quality (4.5/5)Build Quality (5/5)Mic Quality (4/5)
Comment:
Comfort - this is by far the most comfortable headset I have ever tried. Very thick padding around the ears and at the top of the head. The earcups themselves are quite big and dont crush the edges of my ears like past headsets.Sound Quality - I am not an audiophile, but I do know the difference between poor quality and good quality sound. These definitely have really good sound quality. I imagine there are headphones with better sound, however, at this price you will be more than happy with the quality. Build Quality - This headset feels and looks really well made. None of the components feel cheap. The fabric cord feels strong, and is definitely more flexible and resilient than the standard plastic cords.Mic Quality - With minimal testing so far, I can say that the mic is only decent. It is nothing special, but is not in any way bad either. Again, most people will be perfectly happy with it.

Very good quality for its price. Not the best sound quality but you're not going to expect sennheiser quality for around 50 bucks.

Cons: Not really a con but:the mic stick didnt seem very noise cancelling (see Other Thoughts)

Pros: Nice headset, is nicely built. the braided wire is LONG, great which is great for when you have to get up and move around. doesnt make me feel tethered right next to the computer. the velvet cloth earpieces are nice and soft. they are nice and roomy and very adjustable.. clear mic
Comment:
he mic was so sensitive that it picked up background fans, made it sound like spats of breathing on the mic. which was easily fixed by placing a foam mic cover over the mictip

Cons: wake bass

Pros: Great mic filteringComforatable even after long hoursBuild quality
Comment:
This headset is really great. Does provide amazing great mic quality. Friends could tell that I changed mic within a minute.Even after many hours playing, I was not feeling a burden on my head, feels almost as if it is not there. As for the build quality, it doesn't feel cheap. Nice cord and nice feel to it. You know it's something good even by having it in your hands. However, the sound coming out of the headset lacks a bit of bass. Not alot, but still a noticeable difference. How fussy you are and the sound card you have does give this a biased opinion. It is still something to put into considerationOverall, for the price could not go wrong (even less when it's on sale)

Bought for $64.99. Great headset. I usually wear it around my neck and use it more for its mic but good sound quality when using the ear phones. When the adjustable part start to crack the earmuff start to slip a bit nothing major though.

Cons: Faulty?

Pros: Great soundGood price
Comment:
Have had these for a few years now (mind you not the same pair) and when they are working I really enjoy them the sound is definitely above that what you pay and the mic has done pretty good thus far as well (could be deemed "to sensitive" but there are far worse things out there). My major gripe and it is what I pointed out at the start is that I have had to return them on 2 separate occasions for the same issue, being that the wire from the back of the computer to the headset over time ended up needing to be pressed down or torqued into a position, if not they cut in and out. customer service has been great the whole time but once these fully die I will not be getting another set sorry to say. 9being that currently the same problem has came up again this time where the inline volume control is. 3/5 I'm probably just unlucky.

Cons: Relatively not comfiMic pics up surroundings, even headset sound

Pros: Good soundRelatively comfi
Comment:
I am only giving this set 3 stars because the mic is pretty bad. The reason why I say is bad is because it picks up EVERYTHING around. People can hear even what I hear in my headset. Also the reason why I say they are relatively comfi is because they warm up your ears quite badly. I for one cannot stand warm ears. Even at night I flip my pillow to the cold side until I fall asleep. So depending on you, you might find them comfi or not.

Cons: Plastic feels cheap and I do not find the sound so clear.

Pros: BUilt in Mic, nice volume control, Mic on/off switch is a good feature.
Comment:
The sound it pretty good, they are a bit bassy and have good punch for gaming. While the sound is not terrible, it is also not super clear. The on/ff MIC switch on the volume control is a very nice touch.I do find them very comfortable for long sessions. The plastic feels parts feel cheap, and they are very wobbly feeling. The build does not instill a sense of confidence.About a year or more ago I bought the Razer sound card/ 5.1 headphone package from NCIX. The headphones promptly broke after a month of very careful usage. Razer offered me in this order 50% off a different 5.1 $130 pair of head phones, a pair of Carcharias , or the same set I had. Went wit the Carcharias because paying $60-$70 for new headphones after a month is not cool and a replacement set of the origionals would just break. These are ok, but I definitely would not pay $69 for them. I find these Satisfactory, but likely won't buy a razer product again.

Had these for quite a while now and just now decided to rate it.These are the first and probably the last headsets I will ever get.I am not an audiophile by all means but I do care about sound quality. The sound quality of these are amazing, I don't know about everyone else but the bass of these are great, mids and highs are also good. Confort wise, I had these on my head for 16 hours straight gaming session, and had no discomfort when it was time to take them off.Recommended 5/5
