Cons: what more could you want from a fan!?!??!
Pros: -sealed oil bears (S-Flex)-same bearing as higly regarded 120mm S-Flex fans-No erroneous motor bearing noise-excellent noise/cfm ratio-long life-reletively inexpensive Comment:
excellent fans. The 1500rpm variant of this fan is highly recemended over at SPCR for quiet computers. IMO this fan gives you more flexibility with a fan controller then its smaller brother. Same design as their bigger 120mm counterpart. Highly regarded in the enthusiast computer world as one of the best fans period. Scythe fans are all I buy now. |

First off27.5 DBA doesn't seem to be correct, I have 6 Kaze Ultra's (3000rpm, 45 DBA) and I can hear this fan.. It maybe because on my CM 690 this is located behind the mother board and facing me... but still this thing is pretty loud for a supposedly 27.5 dba. good air flow for an 80mm.. wouldn't buy it again for the fact that this one doesn't even fit in my case without modding it. |
Bought one of these to replace a rather loud fan in a Fortran-Sparkle power supply in my media center pc. Combined with the noise killer feature of the power supply this fan is near silent and can't be heard when sitting a couple meters away from it. Even at a reduced speed it's able to keep the FSP power supply running cool.
