Cons: - Angled on both ends. Read the product name VERY carefully: the double-angle-ended cables have the words "Angled ConnectorS" in the name, while the cables with one straight and one angled end have the words "Angled Connector" in the name - no "s"!Unfortunately for me, my motherboard has the SATA ports oriented so this cable would have the angled bit hanging over the adjacent SATA port, completely blocking it. If I used this cable, I would lose a SATA port. This would be true for any angled cable were I to plug the angled end into the SATA port hub on the motherboard. It is not a fault of this cable. What IS a fault is there is no description and no picture. The only indicator that this product has 2 angled connectors is the product name, which I didn't catch when I made the purchase (nGear angled cables were out of stock at the time), and which only makes sense after having the cable in my hand. I didn't even catch that there was a 1 letter difference between 2 very different products. NCIX autosuggested these cables to me and I lazily picked a random one thinking only the color and length differed. My fault, but it should be more obvious.

Pros: - It's a cheap 2 foot cable.- Glows green under UV apparently?- Metal clips to securely attach connections.
Comment:
It's a shiny green 24 inch SATA 3 cable and I'm sure it's very competent at its role in life. Unfortunately I'll never find out because my motherboard is incompatible with this cable. Why? Because BOTH ends of this cable feature angled connectors, and my motherboard (Gigabyte) has its SATA ports oriented in such a way that this cable, if used, would block the adjacent port. Here is an image of the setup I have: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/43/sataports.jpg/sr=1 . This was not made clear on the product description or picture. The only way you'd know this was angled on both ends was to compare the titles of all the Mod Smart SATA cables. Notice how some have the word "Connector" and others have "Connectors"? The latter have 2 angled plugs and I assume the former have the typical 1 angled, 1 straight arrangement. This is very logical when you think about it, but some people, like myself apparently, are inattentive when reading product titles for things they've bought many times in their life.I originally was going to purchase a cable from a different brand, but it was out of stock, and NCIX served me up a list of random products that were similar to the one I picked. I looked at the list and picked a random one which seemed to be identical to what I wanted. Unfortunately the devil is in the details, and I bought something which was not what I wanted. This could have been avoided in a few ways. 1) I could have ignored the fact many products have copy/pasted titles and descriptions from Chinese OEMs who routinely pluralize singular nouns, and put up warning flags upon seeing a pluralized word where one shouldn't be in my target product. 2) A description, even a poorly translated one, could have been added to the product. I realize users can add this (at least it appears so), but this is a retailer, not a Wiki. 3) Photos of the product! 4) A title which is sufficiently different from the non-double-ended version that a dopey customer doesn't think they're the same.I do not believe this is serious enough to say it's NCIX's FAULT. NCIX DID differentiate the product titles, however little, and I bought the product. However, this is a far cry from people buying AM3 boards and LGA1155 CPUs. We're talking 1 letter in the title of a $4 product which is typically never thought about. Anecdotally, I've never heard of angled connectors on both ends of a cable. It seems a bit useless (except for perhaps SATA cards) because even boards which have all the ports angled in the same direction typically have 2 rows and either capacitors or the side panel (when the ports are on the edge of the board) in the way.Alright this is waaay too long and way too detailed. Time to stop ranting over a $4 cable. I actually laughed out loud when I found that the cables were incompatible with my board because it's like something that would happen on a cheesy geeky sitcom.
