Cons: No scan to e-mail feature

Pros: Super fast and crisp, network ability
Comment:
We bought this to add to our office environment. We are adding users more and more to a terminal server setting therefore we need network capable printers. Normally we stick to Xerox but when I saw the sale price on this and read some reviews, I jumped right on it. I'm glad we did too. This little unit prints lightning fast. The quality is excellent. We've even printed up some simple graphics and it prints them great. The text is very crisp as you would expect from a laser. The unit has an excellent power saving mode that you can control. Even with the printer in sleep mode, sending a job to it is almost instant. There is also an "eco" mode for your toner, however it's a bit of an odd setting. It seems to just shrink your pages. This too can be changed and I'll have to check it out more to see what that's about. The only downside that I've found is that you can't really use the scanner if it's connected via Ethernet. It can only be used if connected to USB. There is no smtp protocol in the system which I find to be a huge oversight on their part.Other than that one problem, this is a great printer. We'll see how it holds out in the long run. Samsung usually makes some decent stuff so we're hopeful.*note, when you get it, make sure to open up every little nook and cranny to remove the packing materials. I missed one and couldn't figure out why it would not print. Samsung ships these very well protected.

Cons: None in my 30 days of ownership.

Pros: Fast print speed once initial warm up, good print quality, low cost of prints, low purchase cost, low toner cost, wi-fi, fax, scan, copy, Samsung brand reputation and reliability. What more could you ask for?
Comment:
See pros. This thing is perfect for home use if you don't need a photo quality inkjet.

Cons: scan quality only 600x600, can't figure out how to scan 2 side with auto feeder; no cover for paper storage

Pros: Small, best for home office
Comment:
Good in price when on sales, only $100.Small size, which fit perfectly on my home office. Easy setup and install. Have auto page feeder for scanning and copying. Printing speed is the slowest amount others (only 20) but reasonable.Downsize, scanning is a bit slow (with 600x600) and not able to scan 2 sides with auto page feeder. Also, no drawer for paper storage, you need to remove the paper if not using it (otherwise they are collecting dusts)

Cons: No duplexer.

Pros: Low cost. Good quality. Multi-function. Automatic sheet feeder. Wireless. 3rd-party refill available.
Comment:
Bought this unit for a small-office environment for its low cost and maintenance. The wireless was needed for networking, but the printer is kept within arm's reach so the lack of a duplexer is not a real issue. The software is simple and easy to configure although not as sophisticated as Canon's. The best part is that the printer cartridges are refillable with a 3rd-party kit, which helps to keep the running cost low.Recommended for low-volume printing and scanning that requires wireless networking.

Cons: Toner cost is expensive if u want to get the genuine samsung ones, which samsung recommends. Starter toner 700pg only My experience is that before reaching 700 p, the ink already turned pale. At least, it continued to print more than 700 pg, just a bit unclear. I wish ncix will carry cheaper samsung compatible toner

Pros: Good Value. $79.99 Free shipping for the entire order if you buy a $10 ncix gift card at the same time, to be confirmed with ncix I also like Samsung AnyWeb Print free software. Even if u buy the printer at the store, u can ask ncix to send u a copy of your receipt to your email, on top of the original receipt u get. Ncix receipt is very detailed with the machine serial number, which I think will speed up the warranty claims service. Color scanning. Flatbed.

SCX 3405FW Monochrome Multifunction Laser Pritner When I called Samsung around middle of 2012 from Canada, I was told that I can get 3 months more extended warranty if I registered my printer online. Also, I know their warranty will cover shipping to their service depot, if u are not able to take it there. Can confirm those again since things may change. With my visa, I get a total of 27 m of warranty. Depending on your needs, u can also consider Brother MFC 7220 which is a bit smaller and lighter than this Samsung, and that Brother's starter toner has 1500p and brother's toner cost is less expensive in the long run. Looking at the specification, the print quality of this Samsung is 1200x1200 and is better than other printers with 1200X600 resolution
