Cons: -Little slower than what I am used to

Pros: -Slim Design-Quiet-USB powered
Comment:
Great little drive for any netbook user. Even better when on sale!! Wish I would have bought the black model, but can't blame anybody but myself for choosing blue... Moves pretty slow, even when ripping a cd or something, but that was to be expected. Great product, highly recommend it!

Pros: Works as advertisedFairly quietNo external power supply
Comment:
On sale, this makes a must-have device for any netbook owner, or person finding themselves needing an optical drive in a computer where one is broken, missing, or never needed before. This slim Samsung unit is small and quite quiet. It booted from an XP install disk right away with my EEE PC. It's a great touch that the drive gets all it's power from the USB interface (and includes a second plug to leech more power if needed). I have not tried the DVD writer functionality, but do not see myself needing it.Overall, a quick and elegant solution for an external optical drive. The good price helps too.

Pros: Works great!Sleek looking

Needed one of those for my work, since my netbook doesn't have any DVD drive. Works very well and is very nice to go around with..

Cons: none yet

Pros: runs on USB, needs no external powerreads and writes just fine
Comment:
Bought to accompany a netbook and I found myself wishing I had this burner for myself. It runs on 2 USB ports and no external power, it's extremely lightweight and portable, and it reads and writes just as it should. It uses a laptop-style tray loader, but the only thing that would make it cooler is if it had a slot-loading mechanism instead. Otherwise I love this little burner, it'd even work nicely for a desktop.
