Cons: Loose USB connection, too many usb devices in Windows, numberpad enter only works with numlock on.

Pros: Solid and durable construction, excellent response, bright backlighting, good features.
Comment:
This is my first mechanical keyboard. I chose this on for it's unique compact design incorporating the navigation keys with the number pad; fits my desk well. I also wanted a fully backlit kb and this one does not disappoint. The keyboard is heavyier than a regular one, feels solid and is not prone to accidental movement. This is good, because the mini USB cable (braided, heavy-duty) attaches to the kb in the back, so if you move it around a lot it will come loose. The kb is tthick and the keys are indented and feels good under my fingers.I chose the red switches for their smooth response for gaming, and they're great. However it is a bit maddening for typing as the keys are so sensitive that i often hit two keys next to each other. The backlighting is quite bright and I keep it at the dimmest setting which is almost just right. The breathing effect is kind of cool in the dark, and the "gaming mode" that lights up the wasd and arrow keys only is useful too.The windows key lock is a nice feature, The multimedia keys work, but one must be careful with the function key lock, it's easy to forget it's on. The number pad is unique in that it has a double zero key. The number lock will turn off the backlighting for the arrow keys that are shared with the 0, 00, dot, and 2. Consequenty those keys are not light up. The most frustrating thing is the enter key and plus on the numberpad, despite being singlular function keys, only work when the numluck is on, so you cannot have the arrows and the right enter key working at the same time. It would have been nice to have the shift keys be a temporary toggle between the numbers and the navigation. This kb seems to take up more resources than a regular one. When starting up the pc and when windows loads the backlighting goes out and the kb is unresponsive for a few seconds. When resuming from sleep you hear the usb connect sounds 2 or 3 times. In device manager there are 3 usb devices associated with the kb. The kb would not work properly with an older motherboard, however I've had no problemsat all with a recent mb.This kb does not have macros at all, a feature that i didn't think I'd need, but now wish I had.

Cons: manual may be missing

Pros: Blue Switchesvery solid feelingCost EfficientRemovable USB cable
Comment:
This is my first mechanical keyboard and you can really feel the difference between using a mushy membrane keyboard and this one. If you do get the one with the Blue switches, the clicky-ness will seem very loud in the beginning but you'll get used to it. Only one complaint, but not about the keyboard. im not sure whether it doesn't come with a manual or not but the documentation i got in the box was only about the warranty so i had to figure out how to enable NKRO and change the lighting modes off the CM Storm Website. All in all, AMAZING AMAZING keyboard. never going back to membrane keyboards. ever.

Cons: No wrist rest.A couple keys (2-3) came out of the box stiff when pressed & didn't make a clicking sound/feel.Back light breathing effect is hardly noticeable

Pros: Cherry Mx blues.Blue backlight.Feel solid & heavy.Small footprintCombines Number pad, Arrow keys, pg up & pg down keys.Price matched
Comment:
Solid heavy feel is reassuring, Everything on the keyboard was perfect so far except for the 2 to 3 keys (keys affected are hardly used ones, Qwerty keys work fine) that become stiff with use so you don't feel tactile feedback. I figure some mechanical kb lubrication in the switch might fix the issue.Back lighting is nice with the blue coloured plate that combined with the blue LED's creates a even glow around the key caps and the letters on them. Was able to price match it for lower which helped the price, It is a bit pricey for it's small size, Compared to the full sized Cooler Master Storm Trigger with macro keys which was the same price after shipping & tax. Yet the Quickfire tk is compact & shorter by about 4-4.5inches.Only downsides are the lack of a wrist rest because of it's shorter size some wrist rests are too long. And the 2 or 3 keys that sometimes feel stiff & don't provide tactile feedback.Great Buy for people looking for a compact cherry mx blue mechanical keyboard, great looking blue backlight with full size number pad & arrowkeys that you switch between with the Numlock key.

Cons: No wrist rest, cherry mx stabilizers might not be for everyone, lack of USB ports or passthroughs

Pros: The Amazing Backlight, great size, very comfortable to type on, solid construction, detachable cable, plug and play, inexpensive but quality build
Comment:
This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I was very surprised when I first typed on it, as i thought it was a smooth transition between membrane keyboards to mechanical keyboards. The typing and gaming on this is really great with the tactile response from the cherry mx blue switches. The backlighting has 5 levels and 3 modes (wasd, full, and full "breathing" mode), which are some of the nicest backlighting I have ever seen on a keyboard. The backplate is coloured blue to reflect the light and is nice and heavy, giving a nice solid plate to type on. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this keyboard to those who are looking for their first mechanical keyboard.

Comment:
The price seems just about right for a keyboard with this long of a feature list. I recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a keyboard with a bright backlight, amazing build quality, mechanical switches, and a simple and compact design. It's about time someone came out with a good quality mechanical keyboard with proper backlighting that doesn't empty your wallet. Dare I say it really is breathtaking. The vivid blue lighting is provided by a very bright LED just above every single switch. The light passes through the laser etched keycaps (UV treated for durability), but also reflects off of the blue panel under the switches. The reflected light surrounds the keys, giving the whole keyboard this comforting glow. I honestly think this lighting is the best of any keyboard to date. However I am disappointed with the brightness control, because you can't really dim they keys that much. This is also apparent when using the breathing backlight mode, making it hard to see the effect. The build quality of the keyboard won't disappoint. The construction of the frame is made of a high quality plastic, and the whole keyboard is reinforced with a metal support frame inside of the keyboard that makes the keyboard feel premium. The entire keyboard including the keycaps have a comfortable soft touch finish, which so far has been pretty dirt resistant, easy to clean, and doesn't attract any finger prints at all. The compact design of the keyboard is quite an innovative idea. The combined numpad is very easy to switch between functionality modes just by hitting the numlock. I find this layout perfect as I do not often use my numpad, but like to have one when needed. For people who frequently use the keys that are now combined, it may be a little bit annoying for them to switch back and forth, as it adds an extra key press for whatever they are doing. The overall design of the keyboard is quite minimalistic. There is not really any unnecessary styling, and the colour and material of the keyboard are the same for the entire keyboard. The only branding is a light grey CM storm logo on the front, and one on the back which is out of sight. The switches on a mechanical keyboard are entirely based on preference. I recommend going to a computer store and trying out the mechanical keyboards that they have out on display to get an idea of what kind of style you like. The MX blues on this keyboard are like they are on any other keyboard. They are solid, and have a strong tactile feedback when the key is activated, letting you know it has been pressed. They are also very loud, so keep that in mind. The keyboard also comes in Cherry MX brown which have the same tactility of the blues but without the click, and MX reds that have a linear feel throughout the pressing of the key, and no click. I would recommend doing an internet search on the different types of Cherry keys to see how they work.I am disappointed that there is no USB or headphone port on this keyboard, as some keyboards from a lower pricepoint include this feature. Overall I highly recommend this keyboard, and am very satisfied with it.
