Bulletproof reliability, fastest line of non-SSD disks on the planet. Greater price per GB than SATA, but you get what you pay for. My dayjob is server admin at the datacenter level. All of our rackmount servers run 4 Seagate Cheetah 15k rpm SAS disks per machine, and the failure rate is near zero even on servers exactly where disk I/O is really heavy all day long. Our practical experience is you will retire the server due to obsolescence before these disks fail. |

Great hard drive used in raid configuration. I have owned this hard drive before and have not had any problems. Will be purchasing similar hard drive when I need additional storage space. Highly recommended for a file server. |

Unable to find out because really hard drive was shipped defective. This review is actually for newegg customer service. newegg buyer service is a massive cons. If newegg send you a bad item and you ask for an rma and then tells you when you sent the item back for rma that they don't sold that particular solution, then who's fault is it????? How would you feel if you just commit 跌 for a brick hard drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! newegg shipped this drive to me defective. asked for rma, sent drive back, just to understand that they will not replace the drive for the reason that they didn't sold the drive. If that is the case where do I stand perfect now? They sold me a brick and I am on my own! Way to treat your customer newegg who happens to commit a lot of funds acquiring parts from you. Certainly somebody could have switched that drive in your end, as a result of this is the 1st time I am developing a SAS method.
