I select 2 of these more than every other 120mm fan more than two years ago based on distinct criteria and I nonetheless say they are the very best out there. I say the fin style is ideal (and so does the physics of fluid dynamics). I also say these have been operating day in and day out for more than 2 years. They are as silent as the day I got them. A single of my fans is positioned on my mid-tower case door in a way that makes it difficult to reconnect it to the motherboard. I would have benefited with a longer energy wire.

These fans are excellent! I ordered ten of them to replace my stock fans in my case and on my Koolance radiator. They give higher CFM / noise and when making use of a fan controller, are extremely flexible with input voltage. Purchase these in bulk and you get a fairly fantastic discount on from Newegg! At 12v these are a tiny louder than my stock Lian Li case fans, if you are looking for a close to silent fan, you will want to step it down to their reduce RPM version or use a fan controller or fan manage application. They are not the cheapest fans obtainable, but then once again, you get what you spend for. I have six of these in my case and I control them making use of Speedfan. The purpose I replaced my stock fans is that their dynamic variety was low, which means they had a decrease CFM / RPM than the Scythe fans at max voltage, and they stalled at a greater minimum voltage. I could only throttle my stock fans down to around 50% (somewhere around six volts) prior to they would stall. I can take these Scythe fans down to about 25% ( around 3 volts) and they are nevertheless moving (they often stall at 25% so I set my minimum to 30% to protect against stalling). This improve in dynamic variety permits my water cooled Computer to have a lower noise output during standard operation, but when program temps improve due to higher method usage, Speedfan automatically increase voltage to the fans to retain the operating temps nominal. This setup has worked excellent for me on this machine and previous as properly, and I will continue to use Scythe fans!

Fans set up uncomplicated, come with screws, puts out lots of air flow for the case. I have 1 fan attached to my CPU... it runs at ten-20c, never going previous 20 no matter what I do... so I installed three of these poor boys in my case.. I usually sleep with my computer system on... let me rephrase, I Applied to sleep with my comptuer on... these suckers turned out to be a little loud... but if you only require one particular or two you may possibly do effectively with the noise You can tell these items are constructed to last... if you only require one particular... get it.

The very good fan is really quiet and moves a bunch of air. Purchased two fans at the exact same time - a single of them now seems to have a terrible bearing, since it's extremely loud.

Moves a lot of air Can often get a bit noisy I'm not a single of those noise-a-phobes so I don't even notice it at all until they crank all the way up. If you're one particular of these individuals, you may well want to reconsider.

Forces out a LOT of air. It's super quiet... i only have a couple of fans in my case and this 1 is entirely silent (as of course you remember nothing at all is completely silent) Price as significantly as two gallons of gas... Acquire it.

The fan is properly constructed and comes with mounting screws and an adaptor for a three or four pin power supply. It is extremely quiet with no vibration. The CFM rating might be somewhat generous as the accurate output is hardly distinguishable. If this were an costly piece I would return it for a greater unit with out hesitation. This was a pretty straight forward evaluation. I wanted air flow and this fan is not the answer.

Good fans. Less costly than other individuals and has a excellent CFM/DB ratio. Pushes very a bit more air than my stock Lian-Li case fans (I replaced all six with these fans), but is a bit louder. A little loud, but not an annoying sound. Fine to run on higher, but I will be finding a fan controller to make them silent. I don't think it is 68 CFM. 1 on the internet critique put it at 41 CFM. Still a very good quantity of air. Fantastic fans. Operate excellent on fan controllers. Not to loud to use with no a fan controller, but if you don't like noise you will want one particular.

Fairly quiet, moves quite a bit of air. It's a fan, so installation was uncomplicated. None. Perfect replacement for the rear 120mm that died on me immediately after only a year of use. I suppose that's what takes place when you stick with the case's stock fans.

Not substantially to say here. They move a great quantity of air and make no noise. Scythe nailed it. I can't believe of any, I put it in, by no means hear it, and see low temps!

Of course its not silent, it clearly says 24db, but for close to 70 CFM its far better than most. It's a sleeve bearing, but for the price tag, seriously tough to complain.

Absolutely a higher-flow fan, specifically at 120mm in size. Incredibly low-cost and not extremely loud for the price tag/speed; the noise was not substantially louder than my stock case fan, but had far more airflow. Definitely not the best for a super gaming machine, but also not quiet adequate for my bedroom machine that is utilised mainly for still photo editing and net browsing. I went with the 8-decibel Scythe S-FLEX fans as an alternative. For a machine with mid-variety load, these would be great, but with my case sitting only a few feet from my bed, I had to go quieter. For the price tag, though, I could reside with it!

Quickly and relatively quiet None so far. Note that if you hook this up directly to your motherboard make particular its RPM is inside specs. When I hooked it up to my board it would only spin at 900rpm and wasn't moving substantially air, there are no alternatives to change voltage on my board so I am not sure why it wasn't running at full speed. I thought it was defective at 1st until I attempted another fan with the exact same outcomes. I then hooked it up through the 4pin molex and it then spun at 1300rpm and moved a lot more air.

Fans function extremely very good for the initial couple months they blow ALOT of air. Bought three of these fans back in February and only 1 is nonetheless operating :( and i dont expect the final a single to survive alot longer guess ill have to look into yet another brand. Other then what i stated above i dont genuinely have anything more to say about these fans. Hope you guys have far better luck.

Initially very quietPushes a lot of air for it's sound level Fan becomes really loud immediately after a few days of continual use The stats on this fan are actually great - and it lives up to it for the first couple of days. But after that, the fan will generally make a grinding noise, generating it far too loud.I purchased two of these fans on the recommendation of a common website, but they each began to make loud noises soon after a week. Incredibly disappointed.

Quiet even when plugged straight into the power provide... Quieter than some newer 80mm's I have in yet another case... No spare screws... Or not adequate screws even... But I bought 3 and only one was missing a single screw... Now if they have been self controlling and you could place temperature sensors where you wanted to manage the temperature the most...

Blows fairly a bit much more air than the generic sleeve bearing fan it replaced. Plugs directly into the motherboard, so the chipset can monitor and manage it. None truly, it's a fan and it blows air...

This is an absolutely outstanding fan. The RPM/CFM/dBA to value ratio is by far the finest in its category. You will be hard pressed to uncover a fan that is as quiet as this one particular, pushes as considerably air, for less than บ. None. Scythe is an awesome firm, and I definitely will be buying more of their merchandise.
