Cons: cheaply made

Pros: an android tablet under $50
Comment:
picked this up for a friends kid, who is 6 years old and won't know the difference between that and an iPad. got it for $49, thats probably the most I would ever pay for it though. It is fairly easy to root this thing with a little knowledge and it actually runs surprisingly fast now.

Cons: Slowslowslow

Pros: SmallSD slotClear, bright screencheapFeels solid in the hand
Comment:
It's all about the points B*tches!!!!!But seriously, it just doesn't have the jam to be of any use. And don't even think about using it without following the hacking guide that others here have put up. Also don't pay more than 50 bucks. In a pinch it's good for retrieving email and light browsing. Flash...what can I say...Youtube works and crashes at times. Dailymotion won't and others too.One good thing about it; it's introduced me to the world of tablets and I like it. Now I'll buy a real one, 10 inch too.

Cons: I can't power it on, they sent a defective power supply.

Pros: It looks nice...?
Comment:
I opened this up hoping to charge it over night and bring it to work tomorrow. The charge indicator doesn't light up and after an hour or so I tried to power it on, and nothing happened. I happened to look at the power adapter, and it literally has "bad" written on it in sharpie. I was sent a defective power adapter. I don't even have a universal adapter I can try to charge it with to make sure the tablet itself works. Hopefully they can just send a new power adapter, instead of going through the whole RMA process.

Cons: Compatibility of appsPoor performance as is

Pros: Price (if on sale)

READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING: It's been touched on by others already, this tablet at a good sale price can be useful but you'll want to at least be prepared to update  it or play with it to get it to work. If you aren't prepared to do that, and plan on using it for anything more than an eReader or to view photos and similar basic functions, then look at getting something better.I bought mine for $50, which is a worthwhile price, but would have rather paid more for a better device if it cost any more. The first unit I received kept closing any internet based apps while I was using them, and it was more than the issue noted on their support site with Google (http://bit.ly/P7GwSG), so I had to return it. The support guy recommended just returning it as he'd seen others reporting the same issue, but I asked to try another unit. Be aware of that possibility. The second unit I received didn't have the same issue (still had the Google issue, but not everything internet based would shut down) but the unit as it comes is fairly slow and the Android build Velocity includes isn't very useful and has unnecessary apps that slow it down further. As mentioned, if I just wanted it as an eReader or for photos, then it'd get by.I did update  it to remove the bloatware and put on useful programs instead (as mentioned in other reviews, http://bit.ly/nssRsy), and it runs better now and is more than adequate for a $50 tablet. It still has limitations (it won't run all apps in the Google Play store for instance, but it will run a fair amount) and you won't get the same performance as the better tablets, but you shouldn't expect to for that price.Considering the price, it runs as a 4 star device once you get it setup, but it's a 2 star device out of the box if you don't upgrade, so I've averaged to a 3. If you get it on sale and are prepared to do some work to get it to a little more basic but definitely usable device, than I'd recommend it.

Cons: Not worth more than $50 that I paid.

Pros: Cheap, small, runs well after you 'fix it'.
Comment:
This is a good cheap little tablet. It works well at the $50, but only after you root it, make it run at 800Mhz which is supposed to be running at and uninstall then install some apps. Please go to the following page for the info how to make this table work well:http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/21572-guide-cruz-t10x-t301-rooting-dalvik-turbo-removing-bloatware-gapps-market-more/Hope this helps those who bought it and don't like how it runs by default.

Cons: thick, heavy, slowNO CAMERA, GPS

Pros: CHEAP!!!!! (not much else going for it, but hey $50 on sale? not bad)
Comment:
This device is LOADED with BLOATWAREBefore using this device read the guide athttp://www.slatedroid.com/topic/21572-guide-cruz-t10x-t301-rooting-dalvik-turbo-removing-bloatware-gapps-market-more/(these steps make the system work MUCH faster, and provide access to Google Play!)internal browser crashes on some Javascripts (use Opera Mobile instead)10hr battery life is NOT an exaggerationmany apps will not work (acrobat / flash etc) but there are many other (usually open source) options YOUTUBE app works (HTML5 instead of flash, right?)

Cons: Not good for anything other than being an E-Reader, and even too heavy to be a really good E-Reader. Useless as a tablet.

Pros: Good indoor E-reader
Comment:
Bought it to read some of my wife's Kindle touch E-Books. The included Kindle E-reader worked find. But as a Tablet - FORGET it, just does work with today's apps.Bottomline - $49.95 is a great price for a heavy but good E-reader, nothing more.

Cons: Didn't come with a USB cable to hook up to PC. Also if you do not intend on "hacking" your Tablet a little, then you will be stuck with possibly the WORST budget tablet ever made.

Pros: Very affordable price, very sturdy and doesn't feel cheap. But most importantly, there are guides posted on Android forums how to overclock, root and make this Tablet amazing!
Comment:
I only needed a cheap Tablet to browse the internet, check some videos, read comic books and even play a few free games. Unfortunately this Tablet does all of that very poorly or not at all!Luckily for me (And maybe you), there are guides out there that are very easy to follow, to "hack" your T301 so you can overclock it, get rid of all the bloatware, and unlock the full potential of this Tablet! After following these guides, my T301 is twice as fast, I can install any apps I want, I have the real Android Market (not the stock Cruz Market with barely any software) and it's just the best $50 I ever spent for a portable device. But if you don't wanna hack it, or you're too scared to do it, or you're not too PC savvy, then you might wanna spend a little more on a better Tablet.I give it a 4/5 stars cause I successfully hacked it and it runs so good now!But I would give it a 0/5... possibly even a -1/5 cause it is truly the worst Tablet out there on the market if you leave it with all the stock Bloatware and don't overclock it.

Cons: -Heavy-No pre-installing Android Market Place-Velocity acknowledged Javascript glitch -Slow

Pros: -Inexpensive-Runs Android-Surprisingly Capable
Comment:
The Velocity Cruz T301 is a heavy tablet. When I started the tablet, I wasn't surprised that it was slow considering the tablet specs. However, whenever the browser started it would crash. Turns out this javascript glitch is known to the manufacturer. Instead of attempting to fix the problem they blame google and their workaround consists of eitherA. Turning off Javascript B. Changing the Homepage to MSN.comWhich is unacceptable. The saving grace of this inexpensive tablet is that through installing custom firmware, Android Market or Google Play could be installed. The apps downloaded through app stores circumvent the tablet's poor browsing capability. With these problems outlined above, this tablet still performs well in the following roles:-e-reader-Digital Picture Frame-Internet Radio/Video Player-e-mail/social networking deviceThe warranted 2-star rating is a combination from poor manufacturer support for a 2-year tablet and competitive pricing for other tablets with higher processing power.PS. This 7" Tablet is half as heavy as my gaming laptop (Alienware m11x).

Cons: Everything else

Pros: Come with table stand and carrying pouch
Comment:
This is my third Adroid devices and I had the opportunity to work with a lot of them at work. This is by far the worst that I have tried. I know that for the price I paid (50$ in special) it wasn't to be a super tablet, but I thought it would be a lot better than that. The price for this tablet in new condition is 200$ and I can't see why anyone would pay that. I paid 50$ and already put it on sale because I won't use it. The velocity Micro website state that this tablet is a 800Mhz CPU. In fact, it runs at 528Mhz. I've run multiple benchmark and system info software and they all say that the tablet is equipped with a 528Mhz. The tablet is slower than my two years old 600mhz HTC Legend. Scrolling a web page lag, scrolling between android desktop lag, running through application page lag. Everything is slow. I tried playing Sudoku and the in-game pop-up menu to select  numbers is lagging! I've installed the Facebook application and the tablet as difficulties to render and scroll the page properly... Last this is that the tablet is equipped with a MIPS processor and not an ARM one. So, a lot of application won't install at all. I've tried to install popular game like Draw Something and utility like Swiftkey Keyboard and they won't work on MIPS device. Only a few applications will install. The only thing the tablet could by usable is to read a book, thing that I won't really do on a tablet.
