Cons: - The mechanism used to hold them closed when not in use is brutal and seldom works, however this is obviously not a huge deal

Works great with ngear RJ45 connectors. Simple to use and feels well-made. It gets the job done around the house and at the office. Only issue is the ratcheting mechanism that's supposed to keep the tool locked in the close position sometimes doesn't latch properly so it takes a few tries. |

I bought this tool to do some simple in house cabling myself. This product is resonably price and the look/build is solid. I have not used other brands, so I cannot comment on the comparison. All I know is, it was one of the cheapest at the market at the time and this tool is very easy to use and it does the job vary quickly. |

It is a very good crimp tool.I have seen other at the same price that are really bad... This one have a design that allow the same amount of pressure to be applied to the whole connector.... On some models of the same price, there is more pressure applied near the pivot point.It is also very strong since it is all made of metal... |

For the price I cannot complain, it works. The "locking" mechanism is very annoying, I am seriously debating removing it, and I am not even sure what it is used for - it does not "lock" the tool. For the price you cannot go wrong, it works, however it is very evident that this tool is not high quality.
