I have used and rated several surge protection devices through the years. Because of my electronics background, I will not plug in any electronic device, without a good surge protector up-stream! This unit is penny for penny, one of the best deals on the market. What's so good about it? 1. 1800 joules of surge-energy absorption ability. 2. Super-quality, 6 foot long 14-3 SJT power cord with right-angle plug, to boot. 3. Safety outlet slides to cover unused outlet holes. Must have for small children. 4. Ground and Surge status LEDs |

I bought 3; at this price I think I'll buy 4 more. Great little device to replace all the mickeymouse power strips I have all over the house. Same price, too. For $8 I don't expect great surge protection, but it's great having all the spaced-out plugs for all the transformers. I recommend this deal to anybody who already has strong surge protection, but can use additional outlets. |

Holds 4 boxes nicely plus some regular plugs. Hope it works for power surges, too, haven't had one. |

Until we have a Power Surge I cannot really say just how good it is. Will get back to you later. Its a good deal if it holds up after a Power Surge. |

Had one chance to use it in a power dip reciently and it functioned just great, no problems
