I purchased two of these for my Windows Vista machines. Both show the blue screen of death each 60 minutes or so and force a reboot. To test I installed on yet another Vista machine and the similar point happened. I'm quite unhappy since the box says especially Vista prepared. I purchased 2 of these for my Windows Vista machines. Installed in G4 Sawtooth Mac. Worked proper away. Straightforward set up. Right after moving a number of GB's of data no problems with reliability of connection. Substantially quicker than built in network adapter. None so far. I don't know of a far better way to get Gigabit ethernet into a G4 for less $. |

Cost, hands down. Esp for gigabit e-net.Genuine easy set up. Up and operating in a couple minutes.Functions with each 10럼Mbps and gigabit routers. None as a result far. I admit I was scared prior to purchasing this NIC... inner voice screaming things like "caveat emptor", "you get what you spend for", and "if some thing seems as well excellent to be correct..." in the back of my mind. Well often, on uncommon occassions, you're pleasantly surprised. This is a single such occasion. I admit I haven't put a heavy load on it, but it's functioning just fine for me and I'm a satisfied user. When I originally installed this I was working with a ten럼 router. I recently upgraded to a ten럼 router. The adaptor automatically detected the adjust like it was supposed to do and bumped up to a gigabit connection.FYI - Photo š on the NewEgg solution web page shows a floppy disk. Must be an old pic because mine came with a CD. |

Simple, works when it functions, cheap. 1 out of 4 was negative. Not worth RMAing. That's the rub. It's low-cost adequate to be a excellent deal, but not worth returning. Give-n-take, I guess.I haven't carried out any formal testing, but the computers that have an onboard gbit NIC are noticably faster than these gbit adapters. Nevertheless, these adapters are noticably faster than the 10럼 on board NICs on the computers I place them in, so it's nonetheless worth it. |

Expense--I paid ผ with free of charge shipping.Compatibility--worked outta the box with Vista and Fedora ten. I haven't been in a position to push it previous about 350Kbps. Certain beats the 100Mbps my Vista box was stuck with prior, but a bit disappointing. I installed Fedora just to see if it was Vista or the card obtaining efficiency difficulties, and Fedora results are related. So... not undesirable for ผ, but look elsewhere if you actually want to totally use a 1Gbps net. From a ttcp throughput run between two Linux systems:Trendnet PCI card: ttcp-r: 1677721600 bytes in 46.06 real seconds = 35570.84 KB/sec Motherboard Intel 1G: ttcp-r: 1677721600 bytes in 14.34 true seconds = 114290.95 KB/sec |

Quickly network adapter for the price tag. I bought two of these and a single stopped functioning immediately after only a week. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with no effect. I known as Trendnet and was on hold forever. Celeron D, 1 gig of memory, Windows XP residence, Mach Speed MB |

cheap despite my gigabit router and CAT6 cable, this card would not achieve far better than 100mb/s and it would not stream video, whereas my onboard 100mb/s streamed video just fine. Tech support kept trying to blame my router, even even though other computer systems had gigabit connection to the identical router. I wanted a low-cost stage up to gigabit...I got less than I had already. Not worth it to RMA...ah nicely, I should have spent the extra money and gotten a card with an Intel chip |

Grate for when you don’t have any Ethernet drivers for a pc. Just plug this in and go get them. Then bam you can get the drivers the cord is long. tends to make it harder to shop not really a con |

cheap, operates...following a ton of tinkering so, trendnet decided to not opt for windows 7 assistance. this flusters me, as realtek has produced the driver. Trendnet just wont distribute it. right here is a link to the windows 7 32ኜ bit driver for this chip, the realtek RTL8169, if you're interested. if you want low cost gigabit for an aging method, this is it. just know that if you want windows 7 to have valid drivers for it, d/l from above. That download worked for me anyway. |

This nic will guarantee gigabyte bandwidth, even though your on board nic says its got gigabyte throughput it essentially doesn't so its best to get a nic card like this one particular from Trendnet so you can use permiscious mode. It does work with 64 bit Windows 7 and the LEDs function fine on the back of the card. None |

Operates as advertised, you can't go wrong with realtek. Performs with vistax64 with out any drivers, but i updated to the most current driver from realteks site anyways. Does not get hot like some people stated. high shipping price! if you're working with it with Vista64 make sure you get the most recent drivers installed for best overall performance, even although it operates fine with vista drivers. |

None. Frequent drop, low connection speed. I can't get this card to operate properly with either TRENDnet or Realtek's driver. This card causes random technique crashes on my Vista and XP boxes. On the rare occasion that it works, it only connects at 10Mbits/sec. |

Economical. Only two out of 3 cards bought truly worked as advertised. Newest drivers, and technical assistance could not make these cards work. Attempted different PCI slots, different cables, uninstalling repeatedly. Couldn't get gigabit to perform, then one hundred base either. Threw all three in the trash. How can a company sell such junk? I don't know how I could be the only 1 of all the good posts to have so much difficulty. |

The card was easy to install into the PCI slot, instructions are clear and straightforward to recognize! I did have to remove the metal bracket from the card, mainly because it would not seat deep sufficient into the slot in my situation with it on. Removal of the bracket was straightforward, by taking out two screws and then popping it off. Windows XP identified the the card appropriate away, and the driver install was a breeze. Soon after the installation was complete I re-booted and each factor worked good. The Card is really rapidly! I am not a tech guy at all so I was super happy with the Simple install! Can't beat the value and the super rapid shipping from NewEgg! None so far Great product! Easy Easy INSTALL! |
