This router is a good router that deliver high speed internet for a good range. I would be able to use my play station portable to connect to the internet from my front yard.

Cons: None

Pros: Long Range, Easy Setup
Comment:
This is absolutely the best router. I have 1 pc connected to it via RJ45, and xbox, 2 wireless computers and my ipod touch. This is soo simple to setup but the best thing about a trendnet router is that the support is exceptional. This router supports almost every security.

I knew I shouldn't have bought this router. Its seemed to have the same features as the more expensive ones with a cheaper price. I guess you get what you pay for. My intentions were to use it for online gaming with the Xbox 360 and the console can barely detect the router's signal. I then tried to simply use it for web surfing between 2 computers (1 wired, 1 wireless) and the signal constantly drops when both are being used simultaneously. I've never seen a Draft-N router with such poor signal quality. I went and bought the Linksys WRT610N, now I can run 2 desktops, a laptop, and 2 Xbox 360s simultaneously with no dropped signal since I've installed it. Don't waste your time with this cheap crap. There's a reason why its only 60 bucks. Save the money and invest in the best.

Cons: Heats upClumsy installationOccasional signal drop-out

Pros: Wireless NCompact
Comment:
I bought this one during boxing day sale, so the price was OK for a wireless router. Installation was a little bit clumsy, because after disconnecting from the power the modem did not remember its settings. If you try to avoid disconnecting the modem from the power outlet, everything should be just fine. The transfer speed is OK for net browsing. Skype and video streaming is a bit choppy, but that is probably because of my laptop is slow (Asus EEE PC 1000HA).There are occasional signal drop  outs, but for the price I bought it for the router is not bad. I wouldn't pay the regular price for it though.I bought this in a hurry with my laptop, but if I had to buy it again, I would go with D-Link or Linksys instead.

I'm not sure what everyone is complaning about with this Router. I picked one up here at the Raleigh store and then read the reviews and was getting worried. One word of advise, Read and Follow the instructions. I did and there were no issues getting things set up and working, and I use WildBlue Satellite Internet. The only issue was when I was attempting to download a firmware update, but I called CS and he said if it's working fine don't upgrade the firmware. I didn't and it's working just fine.

Bought this unit for the N feature; works very well and is a great performer. You do have to deal with a clunky initial setup - the CD supplied works once you assign a static IP address, without that change, i couldn't get anywhere. Downloading the latest firmware fixes the security setup problems mentioned in the other reviews. Worth the money, but not the simplest of installs, good luck!

Like so many others I bought it for the price. I have a network of 3 PCs, 1 XP PRO and the other 2 (1 Fedora 8 and 1 Redhat AS 4), plus a work laptop on XP PRO. The 3 PCs have static IPs, set up on the subnet 192.168.1.XXX and this router has its subnet on 192.168.10.XXX so the CD install did not work. I had to read the documentation on the CD. I decided to change my PCs static IP address to dynamic and I was able ping the router but still did not see the internet. I removed the power for 1 - 2 minutes. Still nothing! I then did it again but this time removed all connections to my modem too. Again after 1 - 2 minutes I reconnected modem first and then the router, it worked. After that I tired wifi and connected to a ''G'' type USB and had security enabled and working. This is not a plug and play type router so be prepared to do some troubleshooting and testing. Remember always disconnect your DSL/CABLE modem when you change the router, then connect the modem up 1st then the route

Could not get the router to work. Called cs to get help and they didn't seem to know what to do. We ended up calling At&t which is our high speed provider for help. We should have contacted them before purchasing this router. It was not compatible with the modem that our carrier supplied. We ended up having to send it back and get a modem/router combination from At&t and it works great. Make sure you check with your carrier first.

Don't buy this router. Supposedly is a great unit with super features. I bought pci adapters that go with this unit, but it was a real pain to get them hooked wirelessly to the router. Had to call tech support 3 times and spend many hours to get it working, only to find out that WEP security is the only one I can use with my outlying Windows XP computers because higher security eats up resources and doesn't allow them to link with the main unit. Even getting the main computer hooked to the router to have internet access was difficult. Will never but Trendnet again.

Bought it for price, but it only works for a day and then you have to restart it. It has excellent range and speed when it's working but I needed something more reliable, so I bought a Netgear Rangemax Next gigabyte router and really found out what speed was. I was going to return this Trendnet one but after reading about the Netgear one and it's failure rate I decided to keep it as a spare. Would probably work fine for home use. I however run a business now on wireless and the cheapo in me got the best of me.

I got this mainly for the Belkin Wifi phone i purchased to use in conjunction with my Skype account. Quality is excellent. Works super speedy with my laptop as well. The phone will pick up the signal about 100 yards from my house depending on the direction (I live in the Ozark ''mountains'') with the laptop receiving slightly farther. Call quality with the Belkin/skype service is great. With the router, phone, and a years worth of service I shelled out about $250. That comes in at under $21/month. Works in any wifi network you can connect your laptop to, and next year I'll be at $5/month. oh, did I mention you get unlimited calls in the US & Canada?

I have been using this product with an xp pro system with a matching n draft wireless pci card 45ft with 270 mb speed no complaints there 97% signal strength. Also have another desktop comp. with a wireless pci card and a laptop all work well ( all xp pro versions) I have no lag with halo online. cons--- I did have to reset the router after intial setup so that security features would set up (remove power, power up)besides that no problems.

I bought it because of the low cost. The wireless adapter I have is dlink dwa-643 (cost almost twice as much as this Router!), which I believe has atheros chipset and it connects to the trendnet with wpa-psk without any problem. The notebook I have is dell b130. The Trendnet replaces my old linksys 11b router and with the dlink N adapter, I immediately notice that I am getting good signals at places where the notebook's built-in 11g would only get 2 bars. The router setup is also easy with my cable box. Overall, I am very please with the results of the combination of these 11N products. I was going to get the trendnet 11N USB adapter, but with the express-card, I can just leave it in the notebook.

I recently purchased this router because it is one of the lowest priced N-routers on the market. I was extremely disappointed with this router. It cheaply built. It appears to be fragile. The case is made from thin plastic. The router is not wifi certified which means it might not be compatiable with a lot of n-draft wifi cards. It did not work with my Atheros mini pci-e n-draft card. If you are looking for a n-draft router that will work with your hardware, it is critical that you verify the router and your equipment are wifi certified since it will eliminate any compatiability issues. I had to call tech support and they were not able to find out the problem. I was told that its a new router to the market and they don't have much experience with this model yet. I replaced with a D-Link that is wifi certified which works perfectly.
