Andrewww@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 01/25/13	Cons: - TAM has a bug under Windows 7 (read summary) Pros: - Detected by Windows7- Compact Comment: I purchased this to use as a Telephone Answering Machine instead of getting the too expensive service from my phone provider. I have tried several programs (by the way, the provided program is a real crap) but I couldn't get the recorded message to be played to callers. The modem will actually record the message if the person speaks, but there is no greeting message and no "beep" to say that it's time to record. I have read that it is a bug with Windows 7 and Connexant chipsets so if you plan to use this as a TAM, go with another choice or stick with Windows XP!The caller ID display is working great though. I can't give a bad rating because it actually works, but because of the chipset bug, I couldn't use it as I expected so I cannot give a good rating either...

Comment: I have boradband but need to send faxes, works like a charm, don't need the driver disk. usb 2.0 hooks up to anything, no flaws other then usb 2.0 rather the 3.0 but honestly no need to be because of the data transfered. I couldn't think of anything else.solid product and nice building material and good packaging.
