Cons: none

Pros: can be used for 3.5, 2.5 and sata easy to plug
Comment:
I got this because my laptop suddenly stopped working. Since the laptop was really old, I decided to dispose of it but wanted to retrieve everything that was in my hard drive. This product did exactly that I wanted. It was easy to plug into the PC with the USB cable provided and it has 3 types of drives that it can retrieve. 3.5, 2.5 and sata hard drives.

Pros: InexpensiveWorks with SATA and IDE
Comment:
This was purchased to replace a different unit that had its power supply fail.So far i like the design of this unit better and all the cables work with this one too.So far, I've connected over 10 different old ide 3.5" drives (2-80GB) and they have all worked.

Pros: Plug & playOn/off switch

I got mine last week for $18 and it works without any problem.I use it to format some old HDD or to retrieve data on corrupted HDD.It even works better than my previous adapter that I got for $50 in a local store.Good quality for the price.

Cons: Many cables so easy to snag one if not careful, cables are a bit short

Pros: Plug and play, worked without issue with OSX, reasonably fast over USB2, no screwdrivers needed
Comment:
I bought this as I tend to have a number of HDDs not in use, but lying around and I only have 1 SATA enclosure that needs to be disassembled and reassembled for every drive change (and has some stability issues). While this is not an enclosure, it is extremely easy to setup and use and both drives I hooked up worked fine and were detected as removable USB devices by OSX (I did not try Windows). So long as you take reasonable static precautions, I don't see this as being an issue. Transfer rates were, again, reasonable for USB2 on a 2009 MacBookPro. I was able to clone a partition containing ~55GB of data in about 40 minutes. For occasional use this will be fine and very handy to have in the toolbox! There are a couple of issues though: the cables are short so you need to have a power socket close by, otherwise the drive will be either hanging (bad) or very close to the edge of your desk. Because the cables are quite short, it can be easy to snag them, so be sure once it is setup to not move or knock the drive until you are finished with it. Some people may be uncomfortable with having an exposed HDD on the desk.Otherwise it is reasonably well made, does exactly what it says it will do and without fuss - and you don't need a screwdriver!

Cons: Power switch doesn't feel sturdy.

Pros: Small, cheap, has all interface types.
Comment:
Very small, versatile adapter that takes up less space and is easier to transport than a hard drive dock. IDE interface allowed me to recover an old, Seagate hard drive that I thought was dead. Incredible deal at $15.

Cons: ??

Pros: Works and works well
Comment:
Used this to activate some old software on Ide drives . It can also be used on a dead MB if you power up the sata drive . Just plug in sata cable and your good to go. works on old .Ide cd dvd players.Really nice to see something so cheap do a great job.Consider USB 3 model if your going to use it a Lot.
