Cons: BEWARE OF REBATE SCAM. 3 star review only because website will not accept less.

Pros: Power supply it self is OK
Thermaltake TR2 500W reviewBought one at NCIX Markham after Boxing Day with $20.00 rebate. Followed their procedure To The Letter with all original copies of everything. Rebate was denied because they say NCIX missing Copy of Clear or Legible Receipt/Invoice or Packing List. They show a VERY blurry copy of the said documentation in their email.NCIX original invoice was 100% readable, I have the smaller printer tape that came with it to prove it. Another customer with a review before me had almost the same problem and their are MANY on the web with the same problem. We know that it is not directly NCIC's fault ant that Thermaltake should not use such a corrupt third party rebate service but in the end who did we buy it from? It's to bad because otherwise we like NCIX and buy (or did buy) a lot from them. Rebate status for Claim# was 4611141612505411.

Cons: cords are stiff hard to work withnot to mention the patients you need while trying to cable manage them because they intertwine each other.

Pros: works good so far
other than the cables its a cheap solution to feed power to your components.

Cons: Rebate process. (Read summary)

Pros: This review should actually be 1 star, but this site routinely eliminates negative reviews, so here we are.Great little PSU, all the connectors you could want.Thermaltake is a name you can trust.Great build quality.Affordable option.
Nothing much needs to be said about the quality of Tt products. Their history in the marketplace should speak for itself. That being said, I do not think I will be buying anything from them in the near future. This has nothing to do with the quality of the product and everything to do with the shoddiness and underhandedness of their service. The mail-in rebate of $20 on a $39.99 original price was too good to pass on. Everything went swimmingly at first. The PSU arrived quickly (thank you NCIX) and was the perfect replacement option for a friend's broken unit. However, two weeks after mailing in my rebate form and paperwork, I received an email stating that my claim was denied. Their reasoning was that I had not included a copy of the invoice or packing slip (I know I had). So, I followed the link to their rebate site and viewed the documents online. Well I'll be a monkey's uncle if the invoice wasn't right there before my eyes. My next step was to call their customer service line. After jumping through hoops with their automated service for twenty minutes, I decided to just press "0" in hopes of getting a human (there is no automatic prompt telling you this option exists). It worked and after five more minutes on hold, a polite young lady answered my call. She put me on hold again and another twenty minutes passes by before she comes back to confirm that my documents had indeed arrived and were accurate. I assume they left me on hold so long in hopes that I would just give up. Finally my rebate is approved, but if I had not forced the issue, they would have denied me and laughed all the way to the bank (with my money). This is why this company deserves a 1-star rating, even though their products are high-quality. The underhandedness of their business practices is something to avoid. This site is not much better given that they disallow negative comments in favor of positive ones that will help to sell their products. Dirty, dirty, dirty. They still have not published my 3-star review of a Samsung SSD from two weeks ago. It wasn't even that harsh. Just a small complaint about the included features causing BSODs. Ah well. Can't fight the system, but you can work around it ;)

Cons: None

Pros: Offers connectors for pretty much anything you need in a modern build. The 24pin power cable is nice the others not so much but are mostly hidden in my build. Does what it's supposed to.
Bought on sale plus a nice MIR ended up less than 50% of regular price... best option in this price range with video card power connectors

Cons: Nothing so far

Pros: PriceSmaller than my previous PSQuiet
Specs:Q6600 o 3GhzATI 69502 - 1TB HD's4 Case fansI'd give it five stars if I could be 100% confident in the reliability, but as of right now all is well. For $29 how the hell can you go wrong. Nice long cables with only the main power sleeved. The other cables are at least twist tied, so they stay neat. I'd buy again for sure.

Cons: Lower quality than some PSUs, inefficient

Pros: Price, warranty, # of connectors
I've purchased a few of these 500w units, and have never had a single problem. They are usually one of the least expensive PSUs available but still come with a nice warranty and a good number of connectors. Supposedly there are reliability issues, but I have yet to see any. I'll be buying more of these. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-31-14 08:00 AM
