Consistently when I plugged in a second device (either a USB3.0 external hard disk or another flash drive), the first device (an ADATA USB 3.0 64GB flash drive) would disappeared from my Windows 8. These days it simply working as a USB extension for me. |

Cons: The ports could probably be a bit further apart, sometimes them being close together can be slightly annoying, but maybe that's just me

Compared to all the other usb 3.0 hubs this one probably gives the best dollar value I think. The rubber feet are nice on a desktop, some hubs actually don't have them and move all over the place |

Find it for the cheapest price :)Only writing this to comment on another users post about the power adapter being 3.0 Amps and needing 900mA per port. There are these things called Transitors ( BJT's, MOSFETS,JFETS, FETS ) used to make amplifiers, Op Amps, you can easily get any power requirements for the ports , plus i don't believe your going to need to drive 900mA source through each port at any one time. Since you can only have at any one time the full capabilities of ONE usb 3.0 connection , you know the SINGLE cable going to your PC usb 3.0 Port. you took ONE Usb 3.0 connection and theoretically sliced it down to a quarter for each connected peripheral device. Depending on how the controller handles the traffic.Thanks for reading Cheers, |

looks good, feels solid, USB3 ready, easy install, powered from wall outlet. Comes with a USB3 cable. I did send an email off to Vantec about the seemingly small power supply, they stated most people don't use all 4 ports at once and I could use a larger supply if I wanted to but there is a limit on the amps it will handle. I tend to buy Vantec products when they are available for my purpose. But I have to say this one leaves a bitter memory.The included AC adapter is only 2.0 Amps, which as usb 3.0 spec is 900mA per port, which does not add up, the included adapter should be at least 3.5A.This leads me to file for an RMA and return it to NCIX.So if you're looking for a proper usb 3.0 hub, look elsewhere as this one definitely does not fit the bill. |

After getting the XPS 15z and running out of USB3.0 ports, I purchased this to add more. It's nice, small and easy to travel with, however it's a shame they couldn't put more ports on it. Still, four is better than the two that comes with the laptop. |

I thought I was lucky getting my hand on the last product in one of the store but it turned out not working. I recently bought a laptop with usb 3.0 port, both my external 3.0 harddrive worked fine plugging in directly however does not work when the hub is used.How some people are retarded and complain not plugging in the powersupply for usb hubs, my power is plugged, yet tried 20 times, only once was detected.just unlucky getting my hand on the defective product? maybe |

Wish this thing had more ports then 4 and then it would've been a killer, I guess I'll have to wait till usb 3.0 is more mainstream. Got this for a little cheaper then whats listed here from a price match so make sure to check that out when buying it. I did have to wait a little longer to receive mine cause it went to back order once I ordered it but overall it gets the job done, great product would buy again. |
Works good, nice and small does not take up much room on my desk. However the cord for the usb is way to short. I bought this because my new keyboard no long has usb ports. I have a large corner desk and the usb cord was hardly long enough to reach the top of my desk. I would recommend checking how long of a cable you need before you purchase this usb hub
