Unfortunately, the floppy drive/card reader did not work. the cable was connected correctly (verified by the lights coming on checking each card reader) The floppy drive was not reading the disc, I switched the cable around to check if it was connected correctly. So I RMA'd the drive, and got a replacement.(hope this one works.....fingers crossed) I'm satisfied with the cable though, it's smaller (diameter) and looks neater in the case. |

When the floppy cage is in the middle of a tower, and the floppy interface on the motherboard is at the bottom, then the 12 inch cable won't reach. |

i cannot say anything about this cable because i buy it thinking to plug my ide dvd burner but when i got it i noticed that it was for a folppy device..i went to check and it was on the ide cables link and also it says ''high- performance connections to your IDE Drive'' so i thought it was for ide but in the description it also says floppy so it was really my foult..i only read the ide part so??? the cable is pretty good...good plastic and looks great unfortunatelly it wasn't the one i was waiting for. |
it was too short for my mobo, but it is like the IDE one so here is the review of the IDE. work well. flexible, get more airflow thant the ribbon cable. i recommend it
