I had bought a new HP laptop and I could not use my old HP laserjet 1100 printer with my new laptop. Then I have bought this cable and my printer has worked great immediately. I am very glad to use my old printer yet. I am very satisfied. Great product. |

I am using an old printer for work purpuses and a new faster computer. I need to concet the two and this did the job with great ease. I was happy you carried the 6 foot USB to Parallel Adapter you made my life easier. When I need computer supplies I will check here first. |

After reading some reviews about problems with this type of product, I was apprehensive. But, I connected it up between my old HP-4P printer and my new HP desktop running Windows 7 and it worked immediately like a charm! Very satisfied. |

After MANY MANY Hours of working on this, I gave up. I contacted their customer support, he sent me an e-mail link (the software was supposed to come in the package (NOT). Still didn't work. Loaded ALL the drivers I could find, still didn't work. It's in the trash can now. Not worth spending any more time on it. Possibly there is something wrong with the chip in the cable and that's why it doesn't work but I am really tired of messing with it. beware, this is not an easy product to use and my skill level with PC's is very, very good. |

I have an older parallel 930cse printer from (the leader) which has worked flawlessly for about 6 years. Purchased a new PC package from (the leader)with Windows 7. The package comes with a printer which I didn't need; but the package price drove the sale. This product (Parallel Adapter)solves the problem. However, I went through a lot of hassles after I downloaded and installed updated drivers. The software makes more than 1 copy of your printer in Windows. Second, you must change the port to one of the USB Ports offered under Windows ''Devices and Printers''. |

so many reviews on here are positive makes me wonder if im doing something wrong? I hooked up my old HP laserjet 2100 to my new lenova xp pro laptop and it worked a few minutes, printed a few pages, then stopped. I tried it on my toshiba vista notebook, same thing. Hooked printer back up to the old notebook without this new adapter and printer works fine. |

This is definitely a plug and play product. My only complaint is that my new computer came with no parallel port forcing my to buy this product to attach my laser printer. |

Got a new computer that didn't have a parallel port. I really didn't want to get rid of my HP 1100, so went to the brick and mortor stores. I was told that they didn't make this adapter anymore! Thank goodness I found this website, got the plug, printer works great! For the price it was soooo worth it. Thank you! |

We recently upgraded our desktop computer and needed an adapter for our older HP printer. Very easy to find exactly what I needed on their website, good price (almost $20 savings over Best Buy before shipping) and the standard shipping was fast! The cable works perfectly, it's a great length, plenty of room between printer and cpu; does exactly what it says it will do. Our old HP 4L worked immediately, brought the old girl back to life. Highly recommend doing business here. When I need computer or camera supplies, I will check here first!! |

Tried the product with a Windows XP Professional running on a Lenovo laptop and an Windows Vista Home Premium Edition 64 bit running on an HP p6180t PC. Printer was HP OfficeJet R80xi. Maybe 4-in-1 capability of printer is too much for this device. It just didn't work. It caused the ink cartridge to move a little bit but that was it. Wouldn't print test page from either computer. It established itself as USB001 Virtual printer port for USB which seems correct, but instructions don't help (by the way, included directions are for Windows 98, a little out of date). |

This site ships fast! They are on my preferred vendor list. USB to Parallel Adapter worked right out of the box. Simply plugged printers in, turned them on, and rebooted. Everything works great! |

I bought this hoping to get an old program to work. Apparently the program doesn't know how to output to a USB port. In this case, the cable didn't help. Hey,I know I'll find a use for this guy! Delivery was frightenly fast.(couldn't rate value,features or performance yet) |

Like the other USB - Parallel adapter cables, this one only seems to support printers and no other devices. I have a Xilinx JTAG Programming tool that interfaces to my Win98 machine through a parallel port. Bought this hoping that I could use the tool on my XP based laptop PC that only has USB capability. But no go. I'm still stuck using my Win98 machine. |
I bought this adapter thinking that maybe it could be used with a parallel to JTAG programmer... but no. This product is probably only intended to use with printers.
