When you dont have this connector on your power supply then this cable is a necessity. To me, though, the regular price is expensive.

If you do not have the 6 pin pcie connection available on your psu this is a good alternative to buying a new psu.

My power supply did not have the PCI Express power connector. This works great and does the job. Make sure you connect the 4-pin connectors to 2 seperate
