This is a very solid enclosure with a fan for a decent price. I needed an enclosure for a 2TB backup drive but I also wanted something that I could use for all of my old IDE drives. This was a perfect fit.The majority of the enclosure is solid aluminium although some of the plastic parts inside do feel brittle. Installing the drives were straight forward and a lot easier than I expected. Swapping SATA drives takes no more than 10 seconds. Switching from an IDE drive to a SATA drive is as simple as swapping out a couple of internal cables and all said and done in under a minute. No screwdriver required.The 80mm fan moves enough air to cool the HDD and isn't very loud. It could barely be heard over the sound of my IDE drives spinning. It's final resting place is inside a closet next to my server so silence isn't a primary concern for me.I would purchase this enclosure again.
