I was looking for a universal remote and was drawn to the color display. But what got me even more was how easy it was to configure this, AND it also works great with X10 devices to turn lights on & off (or in this case my fishtank :) The macros are easy to understand with little knowledge of 'gadgets', and the only question I've had is why I didn't buy one sooner. The only down side is there aren't that many icons to choose from and you have to create your own. No big deal but the premade ones are really cool. |

I have owned several remotes from this company. Their quality and features are awesome. The only thing I don't like about this remote is that the circular pad is a bit lower than the surrounding buttons and due to the color screen the LCD buttons are disabled until you hit a key. Programming in learning mode is super easy and macro setup is easier on this model than on others I have owned. |

I'm 60 and not a tech geek. My wife was tired of all the remotes littering our coffee table. With a little time, I was able to get this unit to control our DLP-TV, cable box, satellite and cable receivers, DVD recorder, and Roku. The macros are fantastic. I think I could make this thing flush the toilet if I tried! Great product! |

I give this 5 stars across the board. Yes I had a few problems setting it up, but I made a call to the URC customer care people and they helped me out. Once I got a few tips it was ridiculously easy to set up. It handles all of my components easily. It's a great product that has eliminated my use of 6 remotes. Thanks URC. |

This remote seems solid and has a nice screen but it came with no directions on how to program it other than to use your old remote to let it learn the codes. Don't bother if you're not extremely adept at these things or don't have a teenager who is. |

Look I know I have given it 5 stars across the board BUT I am totally frustrated with it since setting it up without an instruction manual is to say the least frustrating. The internal walk thru's are a pita and I cannot find any info or help anywhere on the net. I ditched a Harmony 8800 for this and while I am sure this unit is capable of many things the Harmony does not quite do, I cannot for the life of me understand why it is so difficult and complicated to set it up. I would suggest that if you are not prepared to put a lot of time and effort into programming this controller, then a wiser option maybe to look for one that does not require a manual. |
I have two Logitech Harmony remotes around the house and in every catagory I can think of they beat this unit across the board. If I had never owned a Logitech I would probably love this Universal but only because I didn't know any better. they did their usual excellent job of getting it here fast which was the only positive note.
