If you want to eliminate remotes and the hassle of always looking for them this is the remote for you. Anything you want to program on this remote is easy and it works from anywhere in the house or outside. The child lock feature is awesome if you have an active and curious 20mth old like I do. Any system is compatable, or at least everthing I have is, with this remote. Easy to use and understand the directions. I would recomend this to everyone who needs organization and eliminate some remotes.

I have 3 components in another room through 2 walls and in a closet, and it works everytime. It took me a while to transfer all the function buttons over, but other than that I am very pleased. would highly recomend before paying $500 for other brands.

If you have a bunch of remotes to consolidate and some or all of your components are hiddden inside a cabinet or closet, consider this kit. The remote sends commands in both ir (infrared)to components it sees and rf (radio frequency) to those it doesn't. The separate receiver converts the rf signal back to ir commands for the hidden components. Ease of setup is this unit's only downside. Extraction from packaging is difficult (have your machete handy). The kit comes with an above average user's manual and instructional DVD; nevertheless, programming the remote requires time, attention, and patience. Expect to spend at least an hour or two. Once programmed, however, the remote works flawlessly. Value: With more functionality than most of us will ever use, this remote is the least expensive RF remote I found. The price was a third of a local retail store's RF remote offering (same functionality, fancier case).
