Pros: Windows 8 picks it up right away, advertised speed. Comment:
Great usb wifi device for giving a pc wifi without adding a pci card. comes with a little usb extension which was a plus. Use this for setting up pcs quickly or giving them quick temporary wifi capabilities as both windows 8 seems to pick this up right away without needing a driver installed. |

Cons: Driver support
Pros: Price, speed, signal strength Comment:
Everything good is like stated in other reviews. I still cannot make it work in Windows 7 64-bit. Only driver to get it even display nearby avaiable SSID is WindowsXP 64-bit driver on the CD, with this driver it can connect to wireless network with no encryption only. At the end, I had no choice but to use it with a WindowsXP 32-bit computer. Very frustrating experience. |

Cons: May be smaller can surely easily broke if you hit it by inadvertence
Pros: Faster then what I need, connect rapidly, small and works on Ubuntu Comment:
Bought this to replace my PCIE card that was working but was taking to much place since I have a mAtx board. This one is great work perfectly. Don't use wifi n like most people, think about the speed of your HDD :). |

Cons: Windows 7 does not automatically recognize and install drivers.
Pros: Great connectivity, extremely fast, easy to install, brilliant price. Comment:
This product is absolutely fantastic. It is fast, has great reception and connectivity and best of all, is extremely affordable. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice boost in reception, upgrading from a G card or USB dongle to this is a great thing. The only gripe I have, if I had to have one, is that Windows 7 does not have drivers for this device upon insertion. While that's not a big deal as it comes with a driver CD, it'd be nice to just find the most recent driver online right away. The drivers on the included CD are out of date, so be sure to pick up the most recent drivers from the Asus website. |

Cons: -Windows 7 does not automatically recognize and install drivers-Doesn't work with Windows 8
Pros: -Great when it was working Comment:
So I upgraded my os to Win8, installed the drivers and plug dongle in and nothing. I then uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled with the ASUS utility/driver and still nothing. No blinking lights on the dongle. Win8 doesn't see it except in Device manager. Error indicates that windows cannot initialize the drivers. From what I can see, all users using this device and Windows 8 have the same issue. No support from ASUS. They are pretty uncommited to making new drivers, there hasn't been an update since 2010 on there website.Stay away. |

Cons: -Had to use CD for driver
Pros: -Works-Comes with a stand cable Comment:
This adapter lives up to the hype. I'm get 5 bars in the basement and no dropped signals! It would oscillate between 3 and 4 bars with the other two N adapters. Definitely worth more than the $20 I paid for it. Highly recommend. |

Lance W@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 03/20/12 |
Cons: None
Pros: Good rangeCheapUSB Comment:
Bought this adapter so I could get an internet connection on any systems I work with in my room. I only have one wired gigabit connection coming out of the wall to my main system and I did not want to drill another hole in the wall for another cable or buy a second gigabit switch. This was a cheaper solution.I don't use it often, but it has so far given me no problems with drop-outs, etc. Range is fairly good. Haven't tried 802.11n yet, still rocking a 802.11g router. |
Somebody69@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 02/29/12 |
Cons: -Had to dig out the CD and get drivers.-Doesn't even pull 70mbit right next to the router. My laptop will do at least 150 when in the same room as the router.-Fat. You can't use adjacent USB ports, although it comes with a short extension cord
Pros: -Cheaper than any add in card-Quicker to install than any add in card-Connection seems stable Comment:
Under $20 for wireless is hard to beat. The ease of use is also outstanding, since you don't have to open up anything to install it, and you can easily share it between multiple PCs. I was somewhat disappointed with the transmission speed, but in real world use, it won't be noticeable (easily fast enough to stream 1080p). Windows doesn't automatically install drivers, which is the reason I'm giving this otherwise excellent product 4 stars. |
I bought this adapter so my step Daughter would stop complaining about Netflix buffering every time Downloaded something, or played my game. Problem solved. When I plugged it in windows 8.1 recognized it right away. It gets 5 bars on the other side of the house. 10/10 would buy again.
