Cons: missing carry pouch

Pros: USB 3.0 much faster than 2.0
Comment:
I have the usb 2.0 to sata cable from the crucial m4 ssd kit, since I have many more ssd drives now, upgrade to usb 3.0 would save me time to transfer files or clone drives.Although I can use a docking to achieve the same, this is more portable, and requires no power supply. Only thing I wish to come with the product is a carry pouch.

Cons: Cable is a bit on the short side and the USB connector should be flipped (as it is, it tends to make the HD want to naturally sit upside down. When you flip the HD over, it wants to twist the cable).

Pros: Works right out of the box (well, a zip-lock bag...). Instruction sheet is informative.
Comment:
I've used it to clone two hard drives so far and it worked perfectly in both instances. The first cloning was for a Samsung SSD and used Samsung's "Magician" data migration software (through a USB 2.0 port it took about 2 hours to move around 160GB over to the new SSD). The second cloning was for a Seagate SSD and I used Paragon's "Disk Copy 14" data migration software and again, no issues (this time through a USB 3.0 port and that took less than 30 minutes to move 120GB over). Without the need to clone a HD, if it's simply connected, it self-loads it's own drivers (which didn't interfere with either data migration programs listed above) and then if need be, formated to be used as an external HD.

Product Features

Connect a 2.5in SATA hard drive to your computer using a portable cable with UASP Support. The USB3S2SAT3CB USB 3.0 to SATA adapter cable lets you connect a 2.5" SATA hard drive or solid state drive to your computer through an available USB port. The cable supports UASP, allowing for transfer speeds up to 70% faster than conventional USB 3.0, which enables you to utilize the full potential of your SATA III SSD/HDD, when paired with a UASP-enabled host controller.

his portable, cable-style adapter makes it easy to swap between hard drives without having to install your drives in an enclosure, and features a lightweight design with no external power required, for easy storage in a laptop bag or carrying case.

UASP is supported in Windows 8, Mac OSX (10.8 or above), and Linux. In testing, UASP performs with a 70% faster read speed and 40% faster write speed over traditional USB 3.0 at peak performance.

At the same peak in testing, UASP also shows an 80% reduction in required processor resources.

Testing results were obtained using an Intel Ivy Bridge system, a UASP-enabled StarTech.com Enclosure, and a SATA III solid state drive.
