It works mostly well. If you are from the time of floppies this will be a breeze. (I found that sometimes I had to close and re-open the drive from the computer drive screen.) |

Not as fast as a device connected straight to motherboard (internal). But, this device worked right out of the box and was fast enough to copy my old disk to hard drive. |

I bought this floppy drive as a mistake but it came in handy as my son is going back to school and can use it with his laptop. It works great for saving small files and recipes he can use in culinary school. |

With hundreds of pics taken on a digital camera using floppy discs, I was originally excited to be able to use this drive to load them on my PC. However, at least 30% of the discs could not be read by this unit. Kept coming back with the need to format the disc. Yet, I could clearly view the pics when inserted into the camera. As it turns out some of the favorite pics are on these discs. |

The Diablotek 1.44 mb USB floppy driver was not usable on my Windows 7 machine. TigerdDirect generoulsy offered to refund my money, but I chose to but something of equivalent value. TigerDirect's resolution to the problems was great! |

I have a Mavica camera that works on floppies so this was a must have. I have Windows 7 and although it came with a disk, once I plugged it in and I was good to go. It is a little slower compared to the one in the old computer but for the price I am very satisfied. |

this is about as simple a solution as you can get to being able to access your old floppies again. i still have some floppy drives i hold onto, but none of today's mobo's support the interface for them anymore, so it was kind of nice to see some my old, early work and games again. if you have old floppies, or need to update old servers with no other type of accessable drive than the floppy drive, this is a good product for about the same price you would pay for an old internal drive. |

Diablotek 1.44MB External USB Floppy Drive 
Plugged it right into my Macbook Pro, and it picked it up within seconds. No software install needed. I don't think I'd want to put the mini-CD into my optical drive anyway.
