Cons: Non matte screen

Pros: Thin, powerful, great battery life, and looks 10x better than MacBooks
Comment:
Probably the only ultrabook worth your money.

Cons: Some light bleeding on lower edge

Pros: Powerful, light weight, bright clean display, adequate connectivity
Comment:
Thin, light, good looking, and surprisingly powerful. I was worried these were the domains left for Apple and their Macbooks. But ASUS has done well. And it is possible to do some basic upgrades on the machine.Probably one of the most important factors for me was battery. I've gotten 6 hours easily of battery life for standard web browsing and word processing, and actually eeked out 7.5 with very light duty work. Haven't played around much with the Nvidia card but it handles the few games I've tried well, though maybe not up to full resolution on its display.

Cons: - screen bleed- HDD ridiculous option- horrible to open- Linux support flaky (WIP)

Pros: - light & powerful- battery life
Comment:
I've had this for about a month, it's obviously a great follow-up on the Zenbook line, very powerful, light and the battery is very durable. Anything you'd expect from Asus with a sharp build quality. On the other hand, the screen is a bit low-quality with bleed around most edges. The fact that the laptop is sold w/ an HDD+mSSD cache is a bit stupid, using an SSD is a must. Beware though that there are some issues w/ Intel 530 SSDs and the laptop's motherboard. This will only be a problem if you manage to open it since it's a real challenge (just like the previous Zenbooks), you'll need a torx T5 and lots of patience (check online for forums where people have done it, otherwise you might break everything). So far the machine runs very smoothly but unfortunately the Linux support is a bit flaky, especially concerning the screen and some of the hotkeys that do not work out of the box. This is being looked upon and bugs have been filed but it might be important for you to know. All in all, great machine at a decent price.
