This is an awsome card, as are all other 580's They are all reference, and if you need to have proof then just download a picture of the PMY, and EVCA cards taken from any angles that match and there is nothing at all distinct other than the sticker. Rapidly card, thats quiet and stays cool and 512 cores is a good plus. Can play any game I've thrown at it on highest settings. Incredible speeds when it comes to rendering video also. The card is great and all, but if you are pondering of upgrading from a 480, theres not a entire lot of point. I upgraded from a 480 and although the decrease temps and slightly higher performance is nice, its not genuinely worth throwing 躔+ at. If you register your card at the PNY website you get a lifetime warranty which is incredibly good. |

good when it works almost everything my very first overview in nov i gave it a single egg then right after tuning the card i gave it one more assessment with three eggs, now i am back to one particular egg as i have now employed it for more than a month. this card operates for 3 days then when i try to play any game on my pc it crashes and i have to start out job manager and turn off the game then my taskbar has a window pop up that say's Nvidia driver 263.09 has stopped responding. . reinstalling the driver does not support, i have to execute technique restore to the point where the games last worked!! Everything about this card is a pro, I have the pny version of it in sli and guess what hiccups avg framerate in heaven benchmark with Max settings is 117, Couple games on max settings run over 200 fps. So i purchased a PNY 9800GX2 fron newegg in late 2008 (Followed by a PNY GTX280 then a GTX380), the GX2 sat in a drawer collecting dust for 21 months when i decide to do a thing with it, pulled my receipt and clicked the hyperlink to post specs on my craigslist ad and see three year warranty! I've used this card for a week now, replacing my Sapphire 2GB Eyefinity6 5870 and the overall performance is superb. Appears like i'm back with Nvidia! and more importantly back with PNY! the ş cause i switched to ATI is for Eyefinity (Nvidias well identified/documented increasing pains with FERMI also created the decision less complicated). I had 4 monitors ƒx24" and 2x22") with two nvidia GPU's. Then i made the migration to ATI since of EyeFinity, Sold my 22" screens for a 3rd 24" display. If Nvidia cant figure out a technologies to rival Eyefinity, i will be suitable back with ATI (only CON for PNY would be lack of ATI goods!) PNY picked themselves up a loyal customer and brought me back to Nvidia (at least temporarily) but if Nvidia can't figure out a technology to rival Eyefinity, i will be back to ATI. I've wanted to switch to ATI for the final 2 generations of their GPUS Ɠxxx and 4xxx) but i simply had an SLI motherboard maintaining me with the green team. I'm no longer buying SLI/xFire Motherboards as I've opted to go the route of Dual Socket high finish server boards/CPUs with completely registered, ECC RAM as my wife does 3d Modeling/Autocad and then i do some gaming myself. For what my pc is employed for, I would rather have the CPU Horsepower and Extra RAM alternatively of a dual/triple SLI/x-Fire Setup, i do not know the functionality hit i take in the various games but a single high finish GPU with the 16CPU Cores and 48GB DDR3 is in a position to play any game JUST fine. Fastest AND quietest AND least energy consuming single card out there as of this writing. Not only that but it is also a more affordable resolution than a 5970 or dual 6870's in Crossfire. NVIDIA's drivers are also significantly additional stable than AMD's. Dual card solutions are a discomfort. Shopping for the top end single card each and every couple generations has been operating out for me fairly nicely. I can lastly play Crisis with no SLI or Crossfire at a decent framerate. :-) None. So I believe it's a good deal. You get a significantly more stable, quieter, and less energy consuming card that on roughly half the games out there has far better functionality, and it has PhysX, for much less than the price of AMD's similarly capable offerings. But all that aside, the value is the value. If you can't afford it buy one thing else. Don't drop the rating 60% mainly because you can't research value/performance properly.Upgrading from a GTX 285 I am finding roughly double the functionality plus DX11 on best of that. It plays every little thing! Score for 3dMark Vantage is 31,700 with my i7-970 at 4GHZ..ƓdMark06 is 27,600) .... Playing mostly Black Ops at 1680x1050 max top quality it under no circumstances goes beneath 90FPS and stays above 150FPS 90% of the time......PNY provides you lifetime warranty just like EVGA after you register.. Cost...The card is already expensive at MSRP, why newegg charges more is beyond me....Thanks provide and demand!!.....I virtually took 1 egg off because of cost..... I got got this card so i could play Black Ops on high settings as well as record video or broadcast on Xfire, it accomplishes this. Fastest single card out. cost, but you know what you are paying for if you are purchasing this. Not quite a few people receiving tricked into this 1 or anything.... I was going to go with the 6870`s in crossfire and in fact ordered individuals.... they will be arriving at my house tommorow. I then did some more reseach and identified alot of folks obtaining difficulties with the crossfire in flickering, unstable FPS, and the list goes on......When it performs , it functions well but not adequate to justify it over the rock strong stable 580gtx. Plus it leaves you with a much greater upgrade path, as in two 580gtx would kill a 6870 crossfire. Ordered the 580Gtx , have both coming in mail sending the two 6870`s back in the mail. |

Outstanding framerates in all games that I play even on an older I7 920 OCed to 3.2Ghz.... (upgrading from dual 4870s) Now if I can just get that Revo SSD drive to function properly! =P I will update or post a new critique if the card fails early. Enthusiast title.... to me that suggests an OC'ed card not a standard edition. I fully grasp that compared to the 570 it could be but its nonetheless a normal edition. cant comment yet havent got it installed the card comes with a 6pin pci-e and 8pin pci-e but they dont contain an adapter for 6pin to 8pin. they do consist of a two molex to 1 6 pin pci-e. I hope they figure this out and involve them in the future |

Good framerates and image good quality (on high settings) at 1080p in CoD:BO. Runs cool and quick. Saw artifacts after installing and updating drivers. Did a complete driver uninstall and cleaning. Cleared up the artifacts. Gues it was too good to be accurate. Quick forward a month later and i turn my pc on immediately after becoming away for five days (gotta enjoy Christmas) and was greeted by "the display driver stopped working but has recovered" error.About to start the RMA method. By no means again am I acquiring a PNY product. Just about every time I've done so, I've come to regret the choice nearly right away.
