Functions well. i mean all i did is took out my old crashed hard drive and but the sleeve on this a single. slipped it into my laptop and i haven't had a dilemma scene as generally WD rules. it cant make me sandwiches its in my laptop so yes when i run scans like Avast and AVG and malware scans. it gets hot but ive under no circumstances had it over heat or give me any difficulty ever id buy this again without a second believed |

Easy to find at key retailers. DOA out of the box. And this was a replacement for a WD2500BEVT that lasted all but 2 weeks. Both drives have presumably come off the exact same assembly line, with manufacturing dates of November and December 2010. I have been utilizing WD drives for 15 years and none has ever failed. WD really should seriously examine their QC and provide chain, since they utilized to have very good and trustworthy goods. |

Operates fine.Type of quiet.Has double the capacity of my old drive.Doesn't suck like my old drive. (hint: deathstar)AFAIR it was quickly MB/s?) RMAs not to difficult to method Failure rate for both Green & Blue drives above above 50%!! What the .. occurred to WD lately? We've applied them exclusively for virtually 10 yearsDo they have any notion how it costs an IT business to have to replace a dead drive, recover as significantly information as attainable, and reload and set up an whole O/S? Superior than my factory 60GB Seagate. none so far. Upgraded my 60GB PS3 (FAT) with this 320GB. Back up was nice and uncomplicated. Just be positive to have a big sufficient usb flash drive or external tough drive to save your back up to. |

RapidQuietLots of space 1 of 4 was DOA; Newegg came through rapidly with a replacement although. I replaced 60GB drives in Ɣ) Lenovo T60 laptops with these drives. They're noticeably more quickly and quieter than the OEM drives. Good buy. |

I purchased this drive as a replacement for the 120GB drive that was in my mother's laptop. It's still working flawlessly about 3 years later. None. Although I wish the price tag was this low when I purchased it taking into consideration I paid about 赨 for it at the time. Nevertheless not complaining though. I've constantly been a fan of Western Digital solutions, and this is another example which has to fail me. |

Playstation 3 hardware quickly recognized it, and set it up without having any troubles. Just before installing it, I did a quick read/write test, and it's about as rapid as I anticipated. Performs fine in the PS3. None - performs exactly as advertised. Functions great in my Playstation 3 game console, and I wouldn't hesitate getting this very same drive for my notebook or for a 2.five" enclosure if I necessary an external drive. WD Scorpio surely seems to be a quality brand of drives. |

Response to Alz. I fully grasp that some of the space is usually missing, I've noticed that on a lot of drives. Some space is marked off for casting and machining errors, bad sectors, other individuals for whatever cause. Your response is vague. 22GB is lost for formatting? What in the planet? So what about soon after formatting? Say the OS is now installed, where has the 22GB gone? It has been marked off you say - if it was really used for formatting purposes, I would think about you could go and discover, format, and make use of that allocated space after... appropriate? But I can't. Shame. Appropriate me if I'm wrong?
