The fastest of many Raptors I've owned and I anticipate it will be rock strong like all the other individuals. So far, so very good. I guess I've been lucky simply because I've never ever had the issues that I've read about. none I got this 1 by means of a different retailor for ŭ a lot more simply because I had a present cerfificate but have often had excellent service from New Egg. |

arrived fast and in fantastic shape shipping wise. New egg is the greatest . Drive is rapid ,got 145mps in atto started finding BSOD , then my tricky drive led light intermitently would stop functioning , windows would take a long time to boot up. I reinstalled my old hard drive and difficulties disapeared at this cost point I would expect superior from WD high quality wise, add to that drive is only about 20mps more rapidly then a normal SATA 7200 rpm drive so IMO its not worth the dollars |

Quickly speed, WD percs none I purchased two of these and they have been working like a charm.WD covers these with a five year warranty. If you have any problems with them WD will replace your drive with no hassle. I have replaced numerous drives under warranty more than the years and WD is by far the easiest to deal with. |

Was super-fast... initially. But they usually are. A 270.00 HDD ought to last longer than five months. Everything about this drive has been a disappointment. Chose it as the boot drive for my i7-950/Rampage III Formula machine, and it worked great for about two months. Then my Win 7 box began to... slow... way... down. A rapid check revealed a handful of negative sectors - annoying, but simply fixed. Now, right here it is five months right after I bought it, and the drive is just riddled with negative blocks - it requires Windows 7 about 11 minutes to load, and my event viewer is just one extended list of poor sector and corrupt file warnings. Sick of fighting it, writing this one off. VelociRaptor had been my mechanical drive of selection for as lengthy as they have been on the industry, but with each and every new iteration, they get less and less trustworthy. This is my second negative VelociRaptor in 6 months, the preceding getting a 300GB Sata three.0Gb/s drive that was DOA. In no way buying from this line again. |

None I had 18 file corruptions in the first two days almost everytime I did a shutdown it corrupted files. System files, directory files, windows restore files, back up files. Completely hosed my pc. There aren't numerous 450 gb evaluations but 20% of the 軸 gb drives are poor three eggs or much less doa and failure of drive evaluations. That equals horrible top quality control each in create and item testing. Each and every drive I bought for the last 12 years was a WD. I just purchased my initial SSD going with a various corporation. |
What pros? It is a paper weight These drives have to be the worst product Western Digital has place out. For years I waited to buy their Raptor line considering it was higher excellent. I have 3 7200RPM drives from Western Digital with no difficulties. I usually acquire Western Digital drives simply because of reliability. NOT the Raptor series. My first two drives had disk read errors. My 3rd drive would not install Windows 7 with and error code could not format partition. My 4th drive installed Windows 7 but now I have lag concerns Windows keeps freezing up. Had no concerns when installed on my Raid five 7200RPM Western Digital drives. This point is junk, do not purchase. If I could exchange for solid state drives I would. Newegg has been Amazing in their buyer service division. Replacing all drives with no hassle. Waiting on my 5th drive to arrive hopefully it wont be bad as effectively.
