Cons:
USB cord is very short.500gb is big enough for a router drop box, but not big enough for a way to backup a decent amount of files.
Pros: Very easy to use.Reliable.Fast. |

Cons:
Time transfert slower than normal internal hard drive, but it's OK for my use.
Pros: Small, easy to use and seem to be constructed for long duration. Comment:
Very easy to use, you plug and all is ready for your transfert. The construction is solid, no movement of internal pìeces. I use this item for backup. |

Cons:
Takes a second or two for drive to spin again after inactivity
Pros: Nice and minimalistic designLightweightPerforms well Comment:
Very well built and solid harddrive for taking around and storing data. As I stated in the weaknesses, this drive takes a second or two to spin up when you leave it to idle, which is kind of annoying at times but it is really no big deal. |

Cons:
lacks the option for a dock (like the passport elites)
Pros: simple design, performance, value Comment:
I have both the passport and the essential 2.5" external drives. This one is more simple and costs less than the passport. Awesome choice if all you're looking for is simple storage without the backup software and the flashier looking enclosure (looks are subjective).Speeds are good (pretty much all recent drives are fast on USB 2.0). |

Cons:
None
Pros: Very durable and portable Comment:
Great product. I had this before and it was superior. speed/write was okay, not necessarily slow. Would recommend this if you need to carry it around. |
I am very pleased with the external hdd, it's fast and reliable and easy to use.Even my technology challenged girlfriend uses it on a regular basis with no problems whatsoever. The short usb cord might be annoying for some, I don't use the plug that came with this product because it wasn't practical.
