This model was a pretty good price for a dual dock with cloning since all others were about $100 at the time. i bought this to transfer data between laptop hard drives, but never ended up using it for that.Just have it as a regular hard drive dock now. I don't want to use their cloning program either.

I purchased this with the hope that I could clone harddrives easily and efficiently but was very dissapointed. The manual is very limited and not very explicit. To clone, the target drive must be larger than the source drive and the software will not compensate for a different size or even the same size. Also to clone with the docking station alone the manual says the data on the source drive will no longer exist so be sure you dont have any important data on the source or do a backup first. This makes the cloning featue useless for me because I want to clone in order to have two copies of my operating system and important data. I will however have use for the product as a docking station only.
