Cons: Not a one so far

Pros: Love its appearance, easy to overclock in seconds, UEFI Bios, runs cool, posted without any issues, has all I need and then some
Comment:
Very good looking board that posted without any problems. Probably has more features than I'll ever be able to use, very satisfied. This review was modfied by poster v 02-27-14 01:09 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 02-27-14 02:24 PM

Cons: Somewhat expensive, but other than that only minor cosmetic issues - Blue BIOS LED and pink-ish Audio Boost LED clash severely with the rest of the board's colour scheme.

Pros: Solid motherboard, plenty of overclocking potential, cool mostly-black colour scheme. This is one of the best LGA1150 boards out there hands-down.
Comment:
I have yet to overclock with this board, but I doubt very much the MB will be the limiting factor. The only thing I can think of that even comes close to a complaint is that it has basically every feature you could want on a board like this, and I'll probably never have a need to use some of them. Since each of the 'Gaming' series MB's appear to be just as good at overclocking, I probably could have saved myself some money and opted for the micro-ATX board or even the mini-ITX variant and been just as happy.

Cons: - Expensive if you don't count the 27-30$ Mail-in-Rebate I had.- Very bright blue led at the right-center of the board near the 24pin which cannot be turned off and stays on even when the computer is shut down, or at least in sleep.- The Power/Reset/Genie onboard buttons could have been more toward the right-bottom as if you use a card in the bottom pci-e slot, it will pretty much block them all.- M-Flash Utility wouldn't work. It was freezing as soon as I would tell it to load the new bios on my flash drive so I had to flash using a third party forum utility somewhere on an MSI forum.

Pros: - Best looking motherboard ever since year 2000!- Best bios interface I've seen also. Even much better than my LGA1155 MSI board that already had a click-bios. The menu are easy to understand, you don't get lost, you can configure a ton of thing and for most options there is a description instead of letting you wonder what this setting does.- Very good software for Windows. You can change any bios setting without even being in the bios.- MSI FastBoot is just crazy. From full shutdown to desktop it takes exactly 5-6 seconds! Then in the software you can click "Go to Bios" and you'll be there within 4 seconds.- MSI built quality. Only the very best components are used by them. Large heatsinks with an heatpipe around the socket VRM. Hell, it's even in the shape of a dragon haha.- Extremely stable and overclocking friendly.- First time ever I find an auto-overclocking feature to work that good. Activate the "OC Genie" then set it in "Gear 2" and your i7 4770K will instantly go from 3.5Ghz to 4.2Ghz without any effort!- Much better onboard soundcard & network card than any other motherboards though it was 100% useless to me as I already had a (Bigfoot Killer NIC) and a (Soundblaster Zxr).
Comment:
My previous motherboard was an (MSI P67A-G43) with an Intel i5 2500K f 4.5Ghz so I was first thinking into getting the (MSI Z87-G43) until I found out about the gaming edition that not only looks infinitely better but also have better/larger heatsinks on the VRM as well as more power phase for more overclocking stability and so on. It was too pricey at the regular price imo but when I saw this on sale during the black friday for 180$ - 30$ mail rebate instead of 200$, I felt it was a really good deal though it went on sale even "further" to 160$ - 10$MiR during the boxing week heh.I could prolly get my i7 4770K from 4.2 to 4.5Ghz on air (BeQuiet! Shadow Rock 2) if I'd take the time to do a lot of trial & error manually but until I get more fans in my case I'd rather stay with the OC Genie that gives me 4.2Ghz without any effort. By default when you activate it, it will disable the (C-State) but you can still set it back to Auto and your voltage will go really down around 0.3v instead of staying at 1.224v on idle, therefore saving power and heat.MSI has always been the best motherboard, videocards and laptop so buy this with confidence.

Cons: Killer E22 Ethernet, 2 extra SATA Ports

Pros: Nice board, fast, lots of features
Comment:
I keep having problems with the SATA controller driver for the extra two SATA ports. I'm running Windows 8 and even under a fresh install that driver causes random blue screens and kernel memory leaks. I hope to find a solution soon at which point I will update  my review. To get this working stable on Windows 8, I had to install all of the latest drivers off of the MSI site except for the non-Intel SATA driver. Also, install the newest Killer Ethernet driver from Killer's website. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-25-13 09:59 PM
