A good prime of the line card. wonderful for Gaming, and operating Video Rendering Software. Runs Incredibly hot, and wants a decent energy provide to run 2x in SLI. You getter have excellent cooling and ariflow. Also a pretty massive card. One particular of these take up 2 slots on most motherboards. If you are going to get these you better have a fantastic computer to back it up. This is NOT a gamer on a a budget card.

It is the planet's Fastest Single GPU. IT really should be it has the fire energy to be almost 50% More quickly. (See Cons and Other thoughts) It killed every single game when I owned one. This thing it Extremely Hot! I don't care what the men and women say about it not being hot. Sure you can keep the temps down if you turn up the fan. (But you will be dealing then with a quite extremely loud fan!) But if you leave the fan on Auto Manage ... You can very easily attain temps of 94c (even in a CM Sniper case) I Ended up selling this card and placing my two 5870's back in because this card is just that un-worth it for the quantity of heat and power it makes use of. Now I am sure people will tell me "Fermi is meant to run that hot" Effectively that might be correct to a point. But any individual with widespread sense will tell you the hotter a component runs.... the shorter it will final. I don't really feel obtaining to return it when a year. I don't think I had a defective card because my claims are correct inline with other folks peoples claims. Come on let's be sincere right here.... For those saying it is just as rapidly as the 5970 in these testimonials are just plain not telling the truth. In reality if you have a 5870񴋊/GTX 295 You would be very hard pressed to see an distinction. Positive you have Physx with these cards compared to ATI ... but in terms of efficiency..... that's truly all you will acquire.I Have owned the GTX 480륮 ATI's 5970/ 2 5870's/ 5850. I can honestly say the fastest single card is still the 5970 by a lot. -(No Fan Boyism Right here just the truth I have no preference for either brand)All I am saying is.... if you have to have the absolute quickest single GPU and you don't care about heat or spending 贄 further buck for a 10 to 15% increase then go ahead by this card. But if you don't care about brand... then any card from this Generation will run cooler and just about just as fast as this one particular..... if not fas Manufacturer Response:Hi,The card and it's components are created to operate effectively at these temperatures, and it is extremely unlikely that you would encounter any problems, nevertheless, if you do EVGA backs it with a lifetime warranty (upon registration)Thanks,Jacob

Oh so rapid. I put all settings to max on all my games (Dirt 2, Killing Floor, and so forth etc and so forth), and the fps the card managed to pull was amazing. My card idles about 48 degrees, around the 70's below load. The precision tool that comes along with it is incredibly easy to use. All the comments on the noise are heavily more than the leading. On auto, I can't hear the video card fan over my case fans. This stands for up to about 60 or 70 percent. Even though if the fan is set to one hundred %, the amount of noise emitted is very hilarious, or atleast it made me laugh. But then once again, there isn't actually a purpose the fan ought to be set that high, with decent case air flow, the auto settings operate just fine. A longer and additional detailed manual would have been nice. EVGA web site is really buyer friendly, and a lot of men and women lurking it that know what they're speaking about. When it operates, the graphics are beautiful. If you're fortunate enough to get one of the "good" ones, I suspect you, like so numerous here, will be thrilled. I got my initially 1 in May possibly of 2010. It worked beautifully for a couple of weeks then shut down the power supply. A new power supply changed absolutely nothing and the technique refused to power up until I physically removed the card. EVGA kindly provided an RMA.The second card was never recognized by the method. Again, RMA'd.The third card stumbled along and, thinking maybe there was some motherboard incompatibility, I spent 񘋰 rebuilding my technique, like buying an ASUS P6T7 motherboard - supposedly designed for the PhysX and the Fermi series. It ran for a handful of months, but gradually, the quantity of crashes elevated, in games at first, but eventually just, for no reason while surfing thenet. Ultimately, a couple of weeks ago, the method couldn't even get by means of the BIOS without hanging.I put my old EVGA GeForce 8600 back in and it has had *zero* challenges because.EVGA has provided another RMA, but what's the point? How much shipping do I have to pay to get a board that doesn't fry Even although this is out of stock, I'm writing this mainly because I consider this may, in reality, be a generic Fermi 400 series issue. I've searched the net and, yeah and verily, just about every manufacturer creating boards in this series has this difficulty, so I don't believe it's EVGA, per se.I've tried every single option folks have identified, but nothing at all operates. There's a flaw in the style and it desires to be located and corrected. The error "driver has stopped responding and restarted" is prevalent, but so is BSOD and just plain crash to restart.I was going to attempt a person else's version - I like ASUS a lot - but even their cards have the very same concerns reported. Now, I believe I'll wait. It'll be exciting to see what all these 4-five star reviewers have to say a year down the road.(Oh, and even though I feel EVGA's customer support is generally excellent, I never got a response when I tried to escalate the challenge up the chain. Saying "no" is one thing, ignoring a buyer is a different. Bad EVGA, no donut.)

Doubled the benchmark numbers in Unigine that I got with a Ati's 5870. Card is smoking quick. Simple to monitor and tweak with the EVGA application. Idle runs at 49C. Haven't monitored it below load however. Also it doesn't sag like the 5870 card I had. Noise level is larger than the 5870 but it's really only noticeable if I have the volume muted. The 5870 was RMA'd simply because it often locked up with the striped screen of death. I had a nightmare that this card did the similar issue. Woke up and realized it was just a dream. I will most likely go to water cooling down the line if I get to it. As is, it's fine with air. If I SLI this I will absolutely be water cooling.

This card is blazing rapid, which is to be expected. You get what you pay for and the ease of overclocking is wonderful. Comes with an HDMI cable which shocked me - most corporations skimp on every little factor. Although it is blazing rapid, it is also blazing hot. On the other hand, I will say that when it quickly reaches 90-92 (even although playing one thing like Civ 4) the fan speed on auto doesn't break the 80's. It appears to have a bit far more variety prior to the fan goes all out. With the case open, that speed sounds about like a hair dryer on low; no kidding - it is loud. With the case closed, the noise from the fan is bearable. In fact, it just becomes background noise following a while and you don't even notice it. It might sound horrific for the few very first seconds you hear it compared to whatever you had in there prior to, but all round it is not practically as hurricane-like as some persons make it out to be. I will, nevertheless, be paying for a much better cooling component for it in the end just due to the fact I don't like anything in my setup becoming that warm. Despite the heat, it functioned fine and as Nvidia claims, it appears to be just fine operating at these temps. I took off 1 egg simply because for this value, I think a greater cooling option must have been applied. What they have performs, but paying a premium price need to award somebody with a totally premium product.

Trust me if your air cooled and this fan goes out on this card at max load say goodbye to the undesirable guy mainly because your card may possibly last 10 minutes if that with no fan.Got them moderatly OC'd and 2000mhz and 1500 mhz practically nothing extream however, but I got 26k 3d marks on 3dmark06 soon after the OC etc.

- Frames per second on anything soar- DX11 looks amazing- The HDMI out with audio was a massive improvement (I've often owned nVidia cards, I realize this was done years ago by ATI)- I've run the card air cooled for two weeks, never ever noticed any heat problems pumping 1080p video to my 40" even though playing Mafia 2 in DX11 at max settings across the board. That could be additional of a testament to the cross-breeze in my Cooler Master HAF 932, although.- I opted for the Koolance water block for this card, which ended up becoming less costly overall, and I overclocked it myself to the HydroCopper edition's specs from EVGA with no situation.- Even when I ran this factor with the stock heatsink it was dead silent. Check your case fans guys, honestly not confident exactly where you get the "jet engine" noise level comparison from. - The original 512 (...520?) Stream Processor Cores would have been amazing- It only came with one particular absolutely free game I caught the free Mafia two deal. It loads into Steam with my other 50-a thing games from the final ... decade? I was naturally thrilled.

For those of you complaining about the temps this card generates (and rightfullyh so), there is a way to go that performs really weil. I have three of these operating in SLI and with stock cooling they were reaching 100 when operating Dirt two. I decided to add a water cooling loop just for the cards. Installed a Koolance VID-480 water block on all three cards, Switech 360 reservoir and MCP pump. Now the temps on any of the three cards do not exceed 60 at complete load. And of course this makes overclocking considerably much easier and a lot more steady. I know this resolution may well not be viable for absolutely everyone but if you can, I higher advise doing so. The distinction is night and day. NADA May try to do the LN2 point on the cards quite soon. Just for the hell of it.

This is an outstanding card. If you are a gamer and are looking for one of the finest cards out there, this won't disappoint. If you are employing stock fan, make positive to use the EVGA Utility to adjust your fan speed. Mine was hanging between 90-95 C just with the default fan speed. I elevated mine to 75% and it is now runnng cool. Widespread challenge with these cards is that at times the screen will shift swiftly. I often recommend manually altering DRAM timings for memory rather than working with the motherboards "Auto" feautre. Believe it or not, this does have an effect on graphics card overall performance.

Runs largely every thing at max settings. Very rapidly, this sped up loading instances of a bunch of games I was playing. Fairly quiet (when the card isn't hot and has to turn the fan up). EVGA Precision, I like this app merely due to the fact I can monitor my video card's stats on my Logitech G15 keyboard even though I'm playing to see what makes it function. Oddly enough most of the time it gets the hottest on menus. At least with Starcraft 2 they stated there is no frame rate cap so it performs extra difficult to draw as quickly as feasible I think this might be with many other games as nicely. Heat, this guy gets hot. Idling in my box it sits between 40-60º. Playing most games it will fluxuate betweeen 60-80º. And graphically intesive games will make it hit 100º.Size, I have a full tower so fitting it in my box wasn't the situation. But I had to eliminate the locking mechanism for my video and sound cards in order to get it into location. And then had to fiddle around with some of the other motherboard wiring to get it to sit suitable. And it's still a bit on the pricey side. 27" monitor is on the way so I'm hoping it will preserve at a larger resolution. But I would definately advocate this if you're looking to see how games are meant to look.

Only issue I can say is that it can get a small hot. Making use of the EVGA Precision tool I have the fan running at 77%, just to the point of when the fan starts receiving noticeably loud, and it is at about 41C with nothing running. When I play a game, it gets to about 50-65C depending on what game. Supports DX11 which makes Battlefield:BC2 appear certainly phenomenal. I also, like how it comes with a HDMI to mini-HDMI cable with it and that it permits me to play sound directly through the Television.Antec 1200 CaseEVGA 780i F.T.W. Very first of all, if you are going to devote more than 5 hundred dollars on this video card, then you can possibly spare yet another ten dollars on an antistatic grounding wrist strap. This card has 3.2 BILLION transistors, so you shouldn't danger damaging any of them by holding the card with ungrounded hands. I didn't take any possibilities with this factor, and I'm glad simply because the card functions beautifully. Running DX11 benchmarks at the highest settings has not made the card get any hotter than 79 degrees C. (I use SpeefFan to monitor temperature settings.) I've had no need to have to run the eVGA Precision tool to increase fan speed. The newest eVGA Precision tool can be downloaded at eVGA's web page: www.evga.com/precision The card is 10.5 inches lengthy. It fits in my Antec 300 case beautifully.I have five 120 mm case fans in my case. I clean the case, fans and filters often so my computer system can "breathe".
