Functions as promised. I hooked up the main LCD monitor making use of the DVI connection. The HDTV in the other space that I purchased a VGA to VGA cable for plugged into the VGA connection of the card and the HDTV. Worked fantastic. Had to change the BIOS from Internal to PEG/PCI then plugged a monitor on the VGA slot to configure. Directions weren't clear which plug to start off up with right after installation. You have to use the VGA connector. Then install the drivers. Windows 7 64bit drivers worked completely. discovered a challenge with the use of the DVI and VGA combo. Right here's what happens. Turn on each HDTV and principal Pc monitor with the Pc Monitor on DVI. Turn off each screens. Make the HDTV screen extended show of the Key LCD. Turn on the HDTV only and the desktop shows up on the HDTV even though the DVI LCD monitor is defined as the primary. Turning on the key LCD at times refreshes the desktop to main and occasionally doesn't.Second dilemma. Plug the Major LCD working with DVI and the HDTV as VGA. Turn on both screens and then alter the HDTV to Computer mode. Then turn off the the HDTV and the Primary LCD loses it's screen and goes black like there is no signal. Turn the HDTV back on and the main desktop on the Primary LCD comes back fine. Now switch the HDTV to Television mode and turn off the HDTV afte a couple of seconds. Exact same issue. But if you turn the HDTV back on and wait 30-40 seconds, then turning the HDTV off while in Tv mode and not Computer mode does NOT affect the Main LCD screen. If you can live with what I've just described in a Main Pc screen HDTV setup, then get this card cuz it worked fantastic otherwise.

New 400 SeriesDirectX 1196 CUDA (Fermi) CoresPhysX technologies Only 96 CUDA Cores. DDR3 memory. Only two year warranty, in contrast to lifetime warranty on larger finish cards. This card is at the bottom of the 400 series totem pole, so don't expect allot out of it. You get what you spend for. If you are a lite gamer, this is a excellent card. This is going into my secondary technique for lite gaming, number crunching (SETI@home), and with Windows 7 and DirectX 11, I will be in a position to use DirectCompute to boost technique functionality by employing the CUDA cores in the regular Windows environment. Although, if you are a difficult core gamer, you will want a 480 鱏-P3-1485-AR) card. If you can't afford that then try to get a 470 鱌-P3-1475-AR) as you will get the most bang for the buck.

EVGA Video Card with excellent software program help under Windows 7 Operating Program. Little kind element card. Price is appropriate significantly less than ๖ with ฤ mail in rebate, kess than โ. It does 3D and BluRay and HDCP. Excellent for replacement of an OEM card in a prebuilt laptop. Not for "Hard Core Gamer's" who want the last doable ounce of functionality and are prepared to spend the price to get it. I always acquire EVGA video cards and Asus motherboards, and generally from NEWEGG!!!!! The "Shellshocker" rates are great!!!

Card came to day upgraded from a x1650 pro ati 512 ddr2.Operates alot superior with close to ultra settings on planet of warcraft.I dont drop below 25fps in dal, i dont drop below 31 fps questing. (again on higher/ultra settings)Plays Oblivion with HDR enabled, distand land and trees enabled really effectively suitable off the bat with small adjustments. I didn't get my mail in rebate, which is extremely irritating.I honestly consider its unfair to the buyer to advertise a "mail in rebate" when there is not one particular presented at all in the box I received. Even though it was clearly advertised on the website.I don't consider the greater organization bureau would like this at all. Despite the MAIL IN REBATE, I adore the hardware I received.

SINGLE SLOT!!! 96 Cuda Cores, tiny style, functions great as a second video card, excellent temps even below load, Fermi. not all that great at physx. Obtaining 3.2k-4k PPD on folding@home. Max temps (with tiny airflow) are about 66C and with fantastic airflow, about 64C. I purchased this card due to the fact it's low profile enough to enable airflow to my GTX 560 appropriate above it. Gets me a couple of more PPD on F@h, runs my second monitor, and makes it possible for my MSI 560 to breathe.

This is a evaluation based as a physx card ONLY. I have no concept how this would carry out stand alone. As a physx card its fantastic. Doesn't break a sweat. In reality I assume it may well even be over kill. Don't hesitate to purchase. Physx calculations are only going to get heavier so this will absolutely be future proof. This play every little thing you throw at it no problem. It fits with 4 cards installed! Not truly a con but getting that numerous cards installed is bound to make items hotter. Also when you want to eliminate any of the bottom three cards you do have to get started at the leading and function your way down removing them! Bought for use as a physx card with two GTX 260's in sli. I also have a sound card so I required a physx card that would match with all that. It does it's seriously tight and it raises the temps on the 260's but what else could I do?

Cost, low energy consumption, vdpau assistance on linux Can not get sound to function (ubuntu ten.10) to make items worse my Sony Bravia Television somehow detects (through HDMI) that this card is sound capable and refuses to take sound from devoted audio input. Had to fall back to Nividia 7300LE, which works ok. In the hindsight i did not truly will need this card as 7300LE plays 90% of HD content material smoothly.

Fermi, DX11, small footprint, cheap. From GT240 the architecture reduce the ROPs from eight to 4 which holds the card back a touch in comparison as effectively as still making use of GDDR3 vs GDDR5 like the rest of the Fermi based 4xxǛxx lineup. Not deal breakers, even though. the ROPs had to do with the various architecture both still have 96 cores. The GDDR3 vs GDDR5 has mostly to do with cost and secondly, heat/power needs. I purchased it solely for Mac OS X compatibility as the new NVIDIA drivers for Mac support it (though not out of the box). After you get OS X to recognize it with an EFI string, you're excellent to go.

Concerning the card itself:+ Low-energy, single-slot graphics solution, great for HTPC setups.+ Does better with games than one may well count on. 3D performance is better than older NVidia-based offerings like the GT 220, even though nonetheless lagging behind comparable ATI cards at the very same value point. Regarding the business:- Keep away from, avoid, steer clear of. You're going to be getting this product at the total acquire price. You can forget about in fact obtaining the rebate.- If (when) they deny your rebate, EVGA sends you an e-mail with a PDF scan of the documentation you sent in. Imagine how amusing it is when this firm selects a random, arbitrary reason to try to preserve your dollars--in my situation it was "No receipt/invoice included"--and then goes so far as to hyperlink you to a PDF of everything you sent in. And in the PDF, there's a scan of the envelope, the UPC symbol, and yes, lo and behold, even the receipt that was supposedly missing. Cute. I've been buying EVGA merchandise for more than 10 years, but in no way once again. There is little to no difference between 1 organization's NVidia reference design and a different's. As a result, you're far better off avoiding a buy of this particular EVGA card and just going with a manufacturer that provides a GT 430 at a lower initial cost, without resorting to trying to steal your money on the backend with disingenuous rebate gimmicks.

This card can play GRID in 1680x1050 resolution on a cheap ASUS board with AMD X4 630 two.8 GHz with 4GB memory - no overclocking, making use of Windows 7 64-bit. It is quiet and all this runs on 350W power provide. None if you pay 59 or so bucks. We tried to see if GRID operates with the integrated graphics on the MB and that was a joke. The game was barely working at 800x600 and it was extremely slow to respond. Awesome how offload to the graphics chip can make low cost Computer playing genuine games. I do not know how it plays other games, but for GRID users, this is a great news!

This is an superb card: It's reasonably priced, 1GB ram 鳀bit), DVI+VGA+HDMI, DX11, makes use of incredibly little power, takes up hardly any space, incredibly quiet fan (I can't hear it at all), doesn't require external power, it's fast, and it works fine in Linux. It also handles light gaming incredibly nicely. If you're looking for a new card and don't plan on performing any heavy gaming this one would be a good choose. None This is my third EVGA card over the past 5 years, I've often had a very good expertise with them. I also had no challenge finding the rebate either (took about 5 weeks).

None that I see yet. The 430 is ***much*** worse in Second Life than each the GT260 it replaced and the 9800 GTX in my other pc. Textures load much far more slowly than in the 260 & 9800, and when various avatars are present, they stay gray for a lengthy time. I have two almost identical PCs (Win 8-64-bit, 3.0ghx dual core CPU, 8gb RAM). I installed the 430 to replace the 260 in 1 of them, and promptly was disappointed. In places with numerous avatars dancing, they stay gray for a extremely extended time. I compared it to the 9800 in my other laptop or computer and the 9800 promptly rendered the avatars commonly, but I had to wait a long time for them to turn from being all gray with the 430.I'm definitely returning this card. The only question is whether I go back to making use of my old 260 or I spend the extra $$$ to get a a lot more powerful NVIDIA Fermi, possibly the 460. I can't express just how disappointed I am with the 430. I bought it for filming machinima in Second Life, but this card is just not up to the activity. Manufacturer Response:Hello,The GT430 Model Card is in amongst the GT220 to GT240 in performance equivalence. The card in most games will not compare to a larger end gaming card such as a GTX260, or a 9800GTX.your greater decision would be a GTX 460 Graphics card which will be an great replacement for your GTX260 model cardThank you

Functions fine in my Workplace Computer with dual 22" and 14" monitors. I just purchased the GT 430 to install in my Multi-Media personal computer. However the card will not display resolutions over 1400x on my Mitsubishi 73" without having serious distortions and the screen frequently, numerous times a minute, blacking out. This is ridiculous. I was lucky to have a Zotac 9800 installed in my Office Pc so I just switched the cards, and the Zotac operates fine in the Media Computer. I would have thought the EVGA item, becoming that it is a newer design, would have been a more robust item and capable of complete resolution as it appears to be designed for residence theater applications. When you feel you are getting a high quality item and it doesn't do what you expected/purchased it to do it can be annoying. I hope I get the provided rebate. I have always believed EVGA was a good quality item, though I have never ever bought an EVGA product just before. If the rebated does not show, based on this expertise, it will be the final. Manufacturer Response:Hello,I am sorry to see you are getting problems. You may possibly be experiencing problems with display property recognition which is causing the improper scaling and corrupted or blurry pictures. You can speak to us at 龸) 881-3842 and we will be happy to assist you with any difficulties you are experiencing.Thank you
