Superior then a 7950GT KO witch the card I'm useing to turn on my Computer.. 1.Geforce GTX 465 ၶ.50$ To RMA it, 3 Weeks with out a video card and I just purchased Rift* Now wasting my Game Pre paided time! 2.The game is seriously not better then what I could have bought with my dollars.. Like a 6870 ATI and so forth.. Skip this card and go correct to a geforce 470..

Good robust card for the dollars. At the time of acquire it was the 3rd highest Nvidia offering with the 480 being tops, for that reason it was a less expensive alternative but still higher end. Ended up receiving a second and SLI'd the pair. Running in SLI games are no bother at all utilizing maximum graphics settings. Even CRYSIS can't make the cards sweat. Simply overclocks more than the currently factory OC and "EVGA Precision" comes with or can be downloaded for super basic OC'ing. Currently running at 800Mhz core 24ǝ x 2. General very satisfied with the 465 SLI setup. Not a con but opinions. At the moment two - 465's in SLI run close in benchmarks to a single GTX 580 card. With rates becoming close to, for 2 to 1, it would be far better to get the 580 or 570 rather of two - 465's. (then SLI it! lol) If only a single card is in your price range then a 460 or 465 will do nicely. Runs a tiny hot when stressed yet realitively quiet. The card automatically "declocks" down to 𞷀 then 50 Mhz when operating slow or at idle. This saves power and heat. The heat in SLI was a genuine concern especially for the ş card as it doesn't get as substantially air. (And I have a well ventilated case.) I ended up receiving water blocks and that worked really well. The GTX 470 waterblocks WILL match a 465 (reference.) But, then again there's an additional ~趆 for 2 waterblocks that I spent.

Not as lengthy as the ridiculous GeForce 9800 I have in my other laptop. Comes with a mini hdmi to hdmi cable so I could use it with my monitor correctly. I anticipated a tiny better out of it on the benchmark test I ran. Runs at a great temp it appears like, appropriate now its 49c and immediately after playing games its at 60-65c. Inside an Antec900 case with one particular 120mm fan added to the side, in addition to the 1x120mm top rear, 2x120mm front, and 1x200mm top fan all set on low.

This card match in my typical size case nicely. I recognize now that if I had selected an ATI card I possibly would have ended up cutting on my higher dollar case, which I would not want to do. The programs that EVGA offer you with, such as precision, are wonderful. You can handle fan speeds and record quite substantially what almost everything in the card is performing in a specific time frame. I'm not extremely knowledgeable about heatsinks, but this a single appears to be decent sufficient. It's a common heatsink with pipes and fan. I haven't tried the card out on any FPS (Crysis), but LotRo plays complete blast at 1920x1200 resolution and runs at about 80 fps. General I'm impressed with EVGA, I haven't had any dealings with them, but just from the two applications provided with the card, and the way they typically look to treat customers. I know that if something does happen I'm positive they will make my troubles much less troublesome. It's still a big card ƙ.5 inches) It takes up two expansion slots (not a difficulty with my case and motherboard)A forwarning for these that are on a price range. I have a 585 watt PSU, and the minimum requirement for this bad boy is 550 watts so I thought I would be ok, but what they only tell you on the box is that your PSU also has to run 38 amps on the 12v rail. So be cautious and double verify that if your on that fine line among getting a "just excellent adequate" PSU to run this card. I've usually been a massive ATI fan, and I also research goods for many months prior to I acquire them, because I don't have money to just throw about so I want bang for the buck. Properly ATI usually delivers on getting less costly cards (I looked at an HD 5830 for the longest time). I am glad that I went with Nvidia, simply because they seem so significantly much more expert than ATI. Sure I paid 250 (regular 280) for a card that is around the identical as a 220 ATI card, but I know for a truth that ATI drivers are the worst point in the globe to deal with (been performing it all my life). So I chanced it with this card, and the drivers installed perfectly and I haven't had any troubles but. General I give EVGA two thumbs up, and Nvidia as properly. Speaking of ATI's less than best graphics cards my last card was an HD 3870 and it failed inside 6 months of me obtaining it. I haven't tried baking it yet.

Nvidia's drivers are effortless to operate with. I've under no circumstances had to redownload a Nvidia driver, I've in no way had spend 2 hours on a personal computer fixing Nvidia's driver. This card is cooler than the GTX 470, possibly by about 10c or additional under load. This chip runs no hotter than a high finish GTX 200 card.EVGA is a wonderful corporation, I can't say sufficient excellent issues about them. If I'm going to commit a fairly penny on a card, I'm going to go with a business that requires care of it's consumers. The biggest pro of all would be the possibilities that would come from getting 2 of these in SLI. These Fermi chips can have up to a 90% functionality increase in SLI. Price to functionality ratio could be far better. In all honesty, the most this card need to retail for is 趣. You can snag a better graphics option for an added ฤ.This card has a two year warranty. IMO, not giving this card a lifetime warranty shows a lack of faith in the chip. Please ppl, this card is up there with the Highest finish GTX 200 card. In truth it's far better than the GTX 285 in some instances. It's Not generally superior than the GTX 285 and it does drop out to the GTX 275 in some circumstances as nicely. You know how it is with a distinct chip, memory bandwidth, and so on. Please, let's be sincere right here. This card is kinda a worthy step-up if you come from the GTS 250񴹐GTS level and you won't touch an AMD/ATI chip. This is also a great choose if you want a dual card answer that lands in the 躔 range.I'd propose the GTX 470 if you have to go Green and you want to run a single card.

Really rapidly and trustworthy. I have everything overclocked and i only hit 52c on full load. Im playing BFBC2 on a 26'' monitor at 1920x1200 with almost everything on as higher as it will go and the card wont even blink. Plays everything as smooth as butter. Its a quite large card. about 1ǚ larger then my old 8800gts. Fan is quite loud when put to one hundred%. And its a power hog. Says it requirements 550w. I would reccomend a 700w or higher psu to get the complete energy out of this card. currently 25$ off, free shipping, and then a 30mail in rebate. Hopefully i can nonetheless uncover a different when BF3 comes out

- Really very good overclocking possible 齌Mhz core clock vs 607Mhz for the reference model). I could probably raise it a tiny bit far more but I want to stay on the secure side. - Consumes lot of energy compared to the competitors- Lack of functionality in DX11 games like Metro 2033 @ 1680 X 1050 (only in intense scenes at least) I think this card is a excellent one particular if you want to expertise the physx technologies with affordable framerates. I will on the other hand upgrade it making use of the 'Step-up' system of EVGA for a GTX 470 due to the fact of the Lack of performance in DX11 games

Fantastic overall performance for the dollars. Prices in 4th position on passmark at the time of this critique. I have been incredibly impressed with its OpenGL performance which is why I will always go with NVidia cards for CAD work. Runs fairly quiet compared to other higher overall performance graphics cards and was easy to set up and get setup. Slightly larger priced then comparable ATI cards, nevertheless, I have usually have had difficulties with ATI cards when carrying out CAD function. My PSU didnt have 2 6 pin energy connectors (only had one) but the graphics card came with an adapter that allowed me to connect it. It is really nice when every thing you want comes with the gear so you don't have to hold operating out for parts when creating a computer.

My friend and I both purchased a single of these terrible boy's. I was operating 2 hd3870 cross fire. I was by no means ever pleased with Ati drivers or the cards. With that mentioned, It was a shock to go from quite poor frame prices and lag to smooth quickly crisp clear graphics with every little thing cranked up to high. This card will run about anything you throw at it. Make confident and get rid of the cover on the subsequent slot down on the back of your case. It is rear exhaust. My buddy forgot to remove her cover and the air had no were to go... lol. Like every person said its a large card. Fit best in my case so I had no issue. HEAT was my only other concern. This Bad Boy runs 50c idle and I'm hitting 80's on a heavy load. I'm going to try and crank up the fan a bit. But soon after reading other posts, you can go up to 100c so I'm not as worried. I was running some games in win 7. Had really bad overall performance I believed it was the card at initially. When I turned down the graphics it nonetheless ran negative. That's when I rebooted in Win XP mode and played the identical games with good overall performance.A single other although. My phenom quad and Gigabyte mb with cross fire are my down fall to my develop. I was setting it all up for ATI. I assume I would have considerably superior performance if I had I7 and Nvidia chip sets. I usually purchase by way of New Egg! You really should also!

·Powerful for the value (I don't discover the 480 to be worth it for practically double) ·Runs a bit hot. I realize what it is, but when HWMonitor clocks it at 180 F beneath load...that's when I commence to sweat a little (and not from the heat.) But it appears to take it all in stride. The first card I bought (not from right here) died within three hours, complete burnout. Got it replaced, and this 1 has been going powerful for a week now.

- Performance among ATI HD5830 and HD5850- The 趚 price tends to make it a perfect price to performance ratio- High to Really Higher settings in most games- Lifetime warranty (the Newegg info is incorrect, always check the manufacturer's site)- DirectX 11 assistance - The dual slot cooler is a little bulky, it didn't let my rear panel latch to close all the way- Takes two energy connectors, but that's to be expected - If you want a moderately priced Nvidia card with DirectX 11, this is the card for you!

This card replaced and SLI configuration of 9800 GT OC and I couldn't be happier. I have played about with EVGA's Precision and found a wonderful middle ground for quality and efficiency. Taking into account that this card is not the 470 or the 480, I have it clocked at Core 700, shader 1400, Memory 1900, and auto speed on the fan. I have thrown Crysis, Metro 2033, Fallout 3, and BioShock two at this single card with the described speeds devoid of any hiccups and only reached 90C on Crysis. There is no such issue as a con on this excellent card and increadible firm EVGA. Make sure to take the time and register your new card, only requires a minute and you are covered for life, not to mention if you come across some income in 90 days you can use EVGA's step up plan. But why not just use that dollars to obtain an additional 465 and SLI this Poor BOY :)!!! I am not one particular that worries about what score I got on Mark3D and just care if it will play all the games I want it to. If you want high marks and have the funds go for the 480.

Smaller than my existing GTX260,match in the case much greater.LOW Price.Paid as a lot for my GTX260.Software addons are fantastic.Drivers do not crash then recover like my 260. No noted improvement. gaming,FPS,benchmark and windows index had been all exacly the very same(Benchmarked slightly greater) as my GTX260.When I turn on the computer it would automatically turn on the moniter with my 260. Working with the 465 it would tun it on for the post but would go blank and not show the log on screen unless I turned the moniter off then back on again. Went back to my GTX260.Not impressed at all with the GTX465.I dont know possibly its my mobo/cpu/memory holding it back. 750i mobo/q9400cpu/O.C'd ddr2 1200 memory.I will attempt it in my new make and see if it does ant greater.I hope so simply because I really like the software addons that come with it.

Mine came with a higher flow bracket which was unexpected. Running the fan at 50% gives me 34c at idle and a max of 66c which is quite impressive. Factory auto fan settings benefits in 38c at idle and 73c max. Lifetime warranty. DX11(the explanation I felt the need to upgrade). Absolutely free Mafia two, Just Result in 2, Metro, Starcraft 2 14 day trial. ษ rebate. Step up. EVGA service. Quiet. Nvidia drivers are rockin. The card was virtually free contemplating. It feels like I stole it, but I'll get over it. The free games will call for a steam account and the starcraft trial will demand a handful of extra methods, but it wasn't a con to me. It's a little on the heavy side for it's size which is possibly not a issue. With all the free of charge goodies, it would be dumb not to pick a single of these up. I upgraded from a Factory OC'd 260gtx 216sp and got a nice 15-35% boost in functionality. It does a excellent job at 1080p which is the resolution I game at. Fits nicely in my antec 900 with area to spare. You can most likely overclock it to 470 functionality if you select. I haven't been this impressed with a acquire in a long time. If you don't own any of the cost-free games that come with the current deal, it will certainly feel like Christmas came a small early this year. It could make for a great devoted Physx card if your present card has a small far more horsepower under the hood. Thanks Newegg! You produced my year.

Like a handful of other folks have pointed out, this card overclocks Very properly. I was able to get this issue up to 800 on the core and it handled it incredibly nicely, idling at 44° and hit the low 80s after two-3 hours of gaming (my ambient area temp was substantial too, somewhere in the mid 80s, this was on the overclock as well!!) Yes benchmarks make this thing run hot, but during regular usage under heavy load (generally 60-90% load) it seriously isn't too undesirable. On the furmark tests it hit 100°, which I promptly stopped the test and let my card cool. It draws a lot of power as well, in particular overclocked. It isn't so considerably the noise level, but the pitch drowns all my other fans, particularly when it is trying to cool itself at higher temps. With the volume cranked no problems. Immediately after reading the new benchmarks on the 460 it doesn't make sense to get this card anymore (IMO).

Very powerful. Wonderful for SLI, runs quiet and cool. I'm a small rough with my hardware, and it has managed to reside by way of five diverse pc cases and mobos. Totally fantastic!!! I honestly have nothing at all I could say as a con. Honestly, I have Attempted seeking for issues. There's nothing at all more I could ask for. Well, I lied, it is a small bulky. But it's a tiny price tag to pay for this kind of power. Excellent for three way SLI. If you have a smaller case nonetheless, I would advise a PCI fan for the graphics card. The less air that flows in your case, clearly, the hotter it will get.My Antec 1200 keeps it perfectly cool though.

It's a potent card to manage nearly all games in the highest settings. You can't get the highest fps or benchmark scores with this card, but it will do more than sufficient for the advanced gamers, with practically half the value of a gtx 480 or hd5870. None so far. It's about 10-15% less powerful than gtx 470 but it fees also about ๖ less, operates cooler and much less power hungry. So, chossing in between 465 or 470 depends on your option in between finding much more or paying much less. But go with evga, you'll not regret.
