Cons: -VERY large, may have issues fitting in some cases-Make sure you have ample amperage on the +12v rail, while under overclock speeds, this beast has no problem pulling 430+ watts.Can be problematic to share with a overclocked CPU.-Price (Saw this comming)

So lets get the nitty gritty out of the way. I play using a UXGA monitor, (1920x1200) 60hz native. This card is able to play any game I have in my library on maximum settings, without pushing past 60-70% load. My monitor is capped to 60fps, and my games stay locked there.I dont hear it in my case, which is a very large difference from my 670 which used the blower type cooler.If you have a large depth fan located on the inside of your side panel, this "may" cause issues with the two PCI-E connectors on the side of the card. I am using a Coolermaster HAF 932 rev1 and it fits with about half an inch to spare.The price of the card is high, came out to +-800 CAD with tax and shipping, however, this card is able to contend with, and under certain clocks, and games, surpass the 1000$ Titan SKU. If you have the extra money sitting around, and would like to future proof, this really is a smart buy.EVGA Cherry picked these to boost at extreme levels, even on air. Very happy with this product, have been a loyal EVGA customer for the past 3 cards I have owned, and will continue to purchase from them. Beleive me when I say, they truly have superior customer support. |
For my GPU fan rpm would cause heatsink fins to vibrate louder than fan noise at 100% speed. For me it was 47% fan speed causing this noise. I fixed it this by loosening the screw for the heatsink found at the side of the GPU near the SLI connection and tightening the screw on the opposite side located near the front. Requires removing the GPU from your system to access the front screw. This fix may or may not work or may only be temporary. I am still testing by running fan speeds from 100% to 35% dropping 1% after a few hours at each setting. May RMA if my fix didnt work for all speeds. Minus 1 star due to a silly manufacture's error which may require an RMA.
