Cons: -mids sound muddy, highs are ringing and make my ears hurt-flimsy cable reinforcement at both ends

I got these headphones on sale and at $40, these give you great sound for the size and weight IF you have an equalizer. Straight out of the box, the mid range (i.e. most vocals) sound muffled while high notes are painful to listen to at any decently loud volume. After giving them a burn-in for a few hours and some fiddling around on my equalizer, music sounds great on these headphones (mids are still a little muted though). However, I have to use my monoprice earbuds for podcasts and audiobooks since the apps I use to listen to those don't have an equalizer so people's voices sound muffled on these headphones.Overall, 4.5 stars if you have an equalizer, 3 stars if you don't. |

Very good portable headphones, open air might bug some but the improved bass performance is appreciated. The highs; however, are nowhere near as good as budget Grado headphones. |
Best headphone at $40 price range, so light I am going back to use it more than using my heavy expensive headsets!
