Cons: - Full list price is a bit high.

Pros: - Great sound, punchy, dynamic, not the best but decent bass.- Great look!- Comfy- Sturdy
Comment:
I'm absolutely in love with these. I've gone through a few different headphones within the last 5 years (Audiotechnica ANC7B, Bose quiet comfort, Technics RP-DJ1200 and a few others) and I love the punchy & dynamic sound on these ones. A bit tight on the head but extremely light and portable. The adidas branding is a very nice look. These are very sturdy and even if you break some part they are easily replaceable on ebay. Strongly recommended!

Cons: wire pinches in the hinge when you spread the top

Pros: Comfortable, sound is amazing and they are a conversation starter for sure.

These things are great, I was looking at buying some Beats but as I read more and more reviews, the Sennheiser name continued to pop up. So I gave them a try when NCIX was having a members only sale, they were priced at 264.99 for the Adidas black/blue which is a steal. I make everyone try them on.

Cons: -Higher impedance; wont get enough juice from a portable device to max these out.-The price in Canada is generally very high. You can generally find them in the states for considerably less; adidas own website listing for $250. I will say however that NCIX price is comparable to everywhere else in Canada.http://www.shopadidas.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4008415

Pros: -Excellent noise isolation-Excellent and balanced sound, from accurate mids and highs, to deep tireless bass.-Build quality is great with each individual part being completely replaceable (according to other reviews, unconfirmed)-Adidas branding is effectively more stylish than the standard HD25-1 ii's.
Comment:
I recently went on a "little bit" of a designer headphone binge. It all started when I picked up the much hyped beats by dre at NCIX on a weekend sale, which lived up to much of the hype in terms of sound and build quality and style. I started to notice other high end brands jumping on the "fashion headphones" bandwagon with different asthetic and branding choices. Among the many sets I picked up were the Sony Piiq Marqui (mostly for the bold stylings), in ear power beats, Koss 25th annaversary porta pros (highly regarded among the NCIX community for price/quality), Audio Technica ATH-EW9, Beats new rival Fanny Wang on ear headphones, and to round it all out at a slightly higher price point I picked up some AKG Quincy Jones q701s. Of course that isn't necessarily comparing apples to apples but hopefully it gives a good point of reference.I have to say quite honestly after taking each set through the ringer, the HD25-1 ii's stand out among the crowed as being the most rugged and overall most balanced and best sounding out of the lot. I thoroughly enjoy them and being that they were one of the earlier sets I picked up (only having the beats and the lower end koss headphones to compare against) I actually ended up being more disappointed with sets I picked up for the same or more money. I generally find the "fashion" sense for this set to be more agreeable than many of the others as well, with a sporty colour scheme but generally not too flashy & capable build design. The only downside (which actually isn't a downside given that these are designed to be DJ and not portable headphones) is the higher impedance. They don't take as much juice as the q701s to power, but you won't be maxing them out on your ipod. This can be remedied by plugging into any device with greater amplification (or a portable amp attatchment to any device), but generally the volumes I did get coupled with excellent sound isolation made these enjoyable as a portable set regardless. These come highly recommended although i would suggest doing some bargain hunting and price comparing. Also if you don't care for the colour, the regular editions of the HD25-1 ii's can be had for considerably less as well.
