Cons: not true surround sound (although works just as well)

Pros: Super light, comfortable even WITH glasses. No big amps on the cord, just a simple sound scroller. Clear sound... no crackle.Overall one of the best headsets I've owned in a while and I've owned many.
Comment:
Overall, great buy with a decent price. Highly recommended.

Cons: mini usb connection

Pros: Sound , build quality, etc
Comment:
These headphones are very nice. I like the sound and pretty much everything about it except that the mini usb connection on the headset is bad. After a couple of months the connection gets worn and if you move ur head a bit you cant hear out of one ear. It is very annoying. Would I buy this headset again? No.

Cons: Mini-USB connection to headphones

Pros: Sound QualityPortabilityRetractable Microphone
Comment:
I have owned these since July and I must say they are amazing headphones. The only problem I have with them is the mini-usb connection to the headphones. Yes they are handy in case you accidentally pull them off the cord... But I have sent them in for a new pair and now have to do it again because something happens and only one side works now, unless i hold the usb in a certain sensitive spot. The RMA is fine, no problems at all but if you are a steelseries fanboy like myself (owned the siberias for about 4 years now and have to use them while i send these ones back) I would recommend the siberia V2.

Cons: - mid sound range is not as clear as would like to- Need headphone amp.

Pros: - Relative "cheap" when on-sale for 89.99, given the sound quality.- long cord, volume control, retractable mic... good for gaming.
Comment:
Got this one on the sale, bought this one for gaming.I use it on my PC with Asus Xonar Essense STX. It sound week, and dull when I did not turn the headphone amp on. Turning on the amp, this one come to life. Bass, treble is quite good, bass is not too loud but mid range sound need some tweak in sound balance to get the best results.

Comment:
I've owned two pairs of these headsets, the first being defective because of the detachable wire causing the microphone to static up whenever the wire was touched. The RMA was.. alright, nothing too great. The whole RMA took about one month, and about 2 of the weeks it was in their hands "testing" the static problem. (This could be done in 2 seconds, honestly). The static problem was fixed when I got the replacement. The headset looks great, and it feels very good after hours of playing games. In counter-strike, the sound is very clear and I can pin point locations. When I'm playing starcraft 2 or dragon age 2, it's just a nice listening experience to add to the battles. The braided cord is very durable, I've probably run over it on my wheel chair like 10 times a day, since I use the extension that comes with the headset. The microphone is good, people say they can head me clearly, and it's also retractable. The in-line volume control on this headset seems pretty cheap, but it does get the job done. I would maybe like a mute on this, since when I set it to the lowest possible volume, I can still hear my music or whatever is in the background playing. The volume sliding thing has a plastic over the actual spinning thing, and it seems to have fallen out of place.Whenever I take the headset apart or whenever I adjust the size so it fits my head at that moment in time, the sound on the right cup just dies. I keep readjusting the right side cup and the sound comes back randomly. I'm not RMA'ing this again, because that's just going to be more of a hassle to me, and I don't want to deal with steelseries again. The headset is alright, but for what I paid for it ($100), I'm not sure if I would purchase this again, or recommend it to anyone. The RMA was actually more disappointing than satisfactory, and added onto my cost to ship this back to them. I would actually probably give this 2 stars than 3, simply because I was more disappointed with the overall experience with this product than I was happy with it.

Pros: - Great sound.- Great mic.- Cool features.

Got these on sale for $89.99 and I'm very happy about it. These are a huge upgrade from my old Zalman 5.1's. The quality of sound is amazing for gaming, and honestly, they are even good for music and movies as well. The mic quality is great too, and I love how it is retractable. I love everything about these headphones. They are great for gaming, and I definitely recommend these.

Cons: - On low volumes, it doesn't seem very clear

Pros: - Very good dynamic range- Precise and clear sound- Has pretty good bass if you play around with the equalizer- Very comfortable
Comment:
Got this on sale for $89.99. I suggest you snatch it on sale because I wouldn't pay more for it. It is very comfortable when broken in and the sound quality is very good for $90. I used to game with 5.1's but after I got these I won't game with anything else. They allow you to immerse yourself into the game, despite missing the thump from the Sub woofer. For its original price, I think there are much better options from sennheiser (thought they don't include a mic). The mic is very good, my friends say its very clear and not so sensitive that it picks up me breathing.

Cons: Volume output not very highBraided cord rubbing noise heard in headphones.

Pros: Great Sound QualityComfortable, lightBoth foam and pleather pads
Comment:
A great headset when on sale for $99. Mic quality is good when using the 3.5 jack, but the mic pickup is not very sensitive. Good bass output, better than I expected. Clean very tight sound, good separation - never distorts or muddies even at max volume. Not very loud, but I guess that keeps you from going deaf. Not too much treble - just right. I thought it would be overly bright with exaggerated Sssts' in the high frequencies, glad that isn't the case. I used this with onboard sound from the front panel and everything was A-OK.

Cons: expensive for some

Pros: comfort, aesthetics, overall sound
Comment:
this is my first set of premium headphones, i normally use cheap 20-30 dollar headsets and mainly use speakers. These are a different world all together. i purchased them for occasional gaming(needed a headset) and loved them. the headset is comfortable the sound is exceptional and i like the fact that the Mic is hidden when not in use. bravo steelseries sold a cheap guy his first premium head set

Cons: the fabric cable generate noise in the headphone by rubbing on clothsThat's about the only thing

Pros: Sound qualityHidden micclosed and open headset in the same packageconfortgeneral high quality feeling
Comment:
I road a lot of review on these and they where compared to the other much pricier brand, so I choose to get those. I actually never owned good quality headphones, but I own very good quality sound system/home theater/car stereo cutom built and let say those headphone have an incredible good sound. Maybe in the very deep bass there is a little miss, but they are headphones, their drivers can't reproduce the sound of a subwoofer with a good resonance box. That being said, the bass is astonishing. The mid and high range are very well balanced and not disturbing even when listening at high volume. The closed experience is very interesting, since it actually block all the surround sound you really get the impression of huge sound and immersion with actully a very reasonable volume. The mic is an interesting piece in them. It's hidden in the left ear piece when not in use, and when you use it, it come on the side of you mouth and so tiny that you actually ask yourself if it's actully there. The only downfall from that headphones, is if there is no sound in it and you have then on, you hear the fabric cable rubbing on you cloths. They actually work like a stetoscope would do, so you hear clearly the rubbing sound and it's disturbing. But that the only con I find in there.I'm really happy with those headphone and would give them a 9.8/10.
