Pros: GREAT sound isolation and sound quality,7.1 VS, Nice braided cables sleeve
Comment:
This is the best headset that I have used, great sound isolation, great sound quality and the 7.1 VS is also a nice feature. My only complaint is that the usb soundcard makes it sound odd compared to my on board sound.

Cons: usb connector

Pros: sound, EXTREME sound isolation, 7.1 VS
Comment:
The headset is one of the BEST i've used, the sound isolation is AMAZING, I could not hear anything outside of the headset. I've used it with my Ipod, phone and PS VITA, and it has better sound quality then those crappy Dr.Dre beats BS.Recommend this to anyone who loves music or gaming.

Cons: Everything else

Pros: Really good sound quality
Comment:
I've been using this headset exclusively for 6 months with my pc. Overall, it's crap and not at all worth the price. The sound quality IS good, especially for gaming and that's about the only good thing I can say about the product. The earpieces are too small for adult ears. The headband squeezes your scalp and becomes painful after about 45 minutes of wear. The modular nature of the headset also makes it really prone to shorting out as well. The 2nd time I tried using the mic it was basically shot. At this point I can no longer adjust the earpieces if I want the sound to work and I still routinely have issues with getting sound in both ears.Aside from the comfort issue with the headband it's not like there was a specific incident that caused the other negatives. Just regular day to day use for 3-4 hours at a time. Looking at the other reviews that weren't posted within the first few days of ownership I'm not the only one who's run into these issues.Essentially this is a flashy headset that is meant to be shown off way more than it's actually ever used.

Great headset, very nice sound quality and extremely comfortable. The USB SC is a plus and the interchangeable ear-cushions is a nice idea. I got these during the sale, they were to attractive to not get.

Cons: Very Defective!

Pros: High quality balanced sound with decent base, the surround sound works great and the mic quality is near perfect.
Comment:
Like all steelseries headsets, the quality in sound is great and the virtual surround sound makes it feel like im cheating in games.therefore it really saddens me to have to say that this headset is terrible. These things break easier than any other audio product I have ever owned. I bought two of them because of my great experience with the steelseries 5v v2 USB and wanted to try out something new. Both headsets I bought have lost audio in the right ear and the one I have already replaced is now breaking in the exact same way! Now I am having to send back my second headset and soon probably my third. This is absolutely unacceptable as steelseries does not pay for return shipping and I am racking up the bills to continue using these. AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS! the sound quality is great but for 150 bucks I expected them to last a very long time. If you are looking for a great headset for less money and equal quality, please check out the steelseries 5v v2 USB. they are an amazing headset with no problems and slightly higher quality mic. The big difference is the non detachable cord which I think is the linch pin on the 7h's

Cons: breaks a lot

Pros: sound nice, mic sounds good
Comment:
I got a 7h usb a while ago and while it sounds great I have had some hardware problems. I had to return my first pair right away because the right cup died (wire problem). My second pair's wire also broke but that was my fault. My brother got a 7h as well and has been having mic problems.

Cons: -Not comfortable for everyone-Limited angles (headset rotation)

Pros: -Great sound reproduction-Price (when on sale)-Removable USB Sound card-Removable mini-usb cable-Cable extension-Build quality
Comment:
I used to own some HS1 and I switched to these to be able to have a removable sound card. But, the HS1 seemed more comfortable due to bigger ear cups and it had more freedom concerning rotation. Still an awesome headset.

Cons: USB soundcard is worse than I expected. Any decent onboard would be better. At the time, this version was cheaper but otherwise, I'd get the regular ones.

Pros: Great sound qualityAmazing directional soundComfortableNoise isolating
Comment:
I play competitive counterstrike at a fairly high level. I've owned a few different gaming headsets and some headsets for music. This is easily the best headset for games that I've used and it's not bad AT ALL for music/movies either. I really like the USB detachable cord as I've broken numerous headsets from them falling and the cord snagging before it hits the ground. Overall great headset. Seems a lot sturdier than the 5h's.

After reading many reviews online, settled in buying this one with Steel Series. I love Steel series products, they keep doing the basic things very well, and not sidetracked on developing the bells and whistles. Would buy again.

Pros: Size, retractable mic, usb adaptor.
Comment:
I feel that this headset should be sold for a bit less. It is fantastic, but does not warrant the $150 price tagUSB adaptor is great if you dont have a sound card - definitely get it if you dont.Interchangeable ear pads are awesome. Retractable mic is great as well!

Cons: ONE MAJOR FLAW ON THE USB VERSION: the microUSB port on the headset itself becomes rather finnicky with regular wear-and-tear. (Eg. I've used mine daily, disconnecting and reconnecting the headset a grand total of 30 times to be generous.) This will cause sound to only come out of a single (left) ear cup. Jiggling the cord will eventually have sound return to the other ear cup.

Pros: The sound quality is very good; I'm not quite an audiophile but I definitely appreciate the sound that these produce. They're clear in games, music and movies.
Comment:
An amazing headset, sound quality is good, mic quality is good. Be aware that the microUSB port is susceptible to damage with even light use and could be considered a deal-breaker.

Pros: Amazing sounds quality, awesome mic quality, comfortable, keeps noise out (if using leather ear pieces) COMFORTABLE!!!

Best set of headphone/mic out there, comfortable, great sound. I use it as a mic for Skype as well, still pics up my voice across the desk perfectly.

Cons: anyone with a large cranium may feel some discomfort when wearing for long periods

Pros: CostUSB soundcardretractable MicClarity
Comment:
Bought these on sale for 89 bucks, killer deal. They sound amazing, i am coming from Razer Orca's and they sound just as good. With the 7.1 virtual surround sound much easier to pinpoint people playing bad company 2.the mic is nice and clear (so my friends say when using with vent)listen to mp3's over and over now just because of clarity with the sound now. Bass isn't anything to cheer about but its enough. I'm no audiophile so for me, they sound great.just one complaint they are a bit small (i hear they stretch over time, but i don't haven't noticed). I have a large hear and the pressure does bother me after wearing them for a while. because of that they get a 4.If you need good sounding headphones and a mic as well (love how it retracts so you are not bothered by it). These will not let you downThey are smaller than the pictures look...which is nicethe ability to change from the material to fake leather cuffs is a bonus too.

Very strong headset, good build quality and feel. Excellent headset for gaming. Music sounds good, but cannot push bass frequencies very loud, they are present and accurate. Strongly geared towards gaming, decent for everything else.
