Unfortunately, the write rate starts strong but drops to ~10 MB/s with only occasional spikes over 40 MB/s, so give this thing plenty of time to run if you plan to fill it.As a side note, these drives (I bought two together) disappear every time when trying to bench them on my desktop (Intel® Desktop Board DH77DF), and only a reboot will make them reappear. The above figures were obtained on a laptop, which apparently has no problem with them. |

The Mushkin, Kingston, Corsair, Patriot, etc. competitors is this price range are neither as cheap or as fast as this one.It's not too bulkly like some USB3.0 drives. Its case is aluminum and heat has never been an issue for me (the next model up, the nobility, does seem to have an issue). |

Cons:While it has a hold through one corner to attach a piece of fishing line or what have you, it does not come with a key-chain attachment by default (which is exactly where this will be going). Those things are impossible to find so I guess I will be melting fish line or something now. A small issue but still an annoyance.
Pros:durable case, fast read/writes, no unnecessary software pre-installed, has a hole for cable attachment, price... what else can be good about it? Comment:
considering all of the above, I cannot recommend this drive enough. I haven't had the luxury of being able to fully test it's USB 3.0 R/W speeds, but overall it has fast R/W's even as far as USB 2.0 is concerned. It has given my 0 troubles and I was quite surprised and pleased with the durability of the case. There are faster USB 3.0 drives out there but there are not better valued ones for what you are getting here.I really really wanted a packaged key-chain attachment but will survive with a home made option. |

Cons:The only thing to signal is they're larger than a single usb port so you can't get 2 of these in 2 side by side usb port (verticaly like on the mobo) on my front IO it's ok...
Pros:I just test the speed of this on USB 2 (buy this to complete my upcoming PC) and with my old board it scores 52MB/s read and 44 write in ATTO so i'm pretty sure that will come close to the specs as my "kingston" rated 50mb/s usb 2.0 got 42 mb/s read and 22 write so, great Stick for a minimum price !! Really fast and good build quality (seems build tough with the graphite style) have cover to ensure dust will never block the usb port, I greatly recommend it to all that want a 32gb usb stick and don't want to pay 100$ for it, the best i had use in this capacity. |
