Fits in my drive bay excellent. looks very good in my black cooler master HAF 932. The blue led does not appear to be to vibrant as some could say. Can ready a number of cards at as soon as, as in one sd, one compact flash. None so far

Comment:
Identical as before, reads all sorts of stuff, looks fantastic, can be employed internal or external. Used it with 4GB CF cards and 8GB SD cards. As fast as my external SanDisk reader. None really, see other thoughts. I had employed the media icons on my 64 bit method based on the workaround in an earlier post. It worked fine for a couple of weeks, but then the reader started giving me difficulty. I emailed AFT and they told me to uninstall the media icon driver as nicely as some other things. The driver uninstall and a move of the USB cables to a unique header on the mobo fixed my issues entirely. Kudos to AFT's consumer service. They responded speedily to me concerns and had the fix.

Complies with UDMA to assure the fastest information transfer rates.I have installed this reader internally and connected it to an internal USB 2. header on my motherboard on a machine running Windows 7.My transfer rate from a Sandisk Extreme IV 8.0GB CF card was a constant 28MB per second. I was able to upload 237 RAW captures from my Nikon D700 Ɠ.21GB) in precisely 2ᚨ minutes. It’s a quality reader and can either be installed internally Ɠ.5” bay) or applied externally because the item is nicely finished on the outside in black plastic (i.e. not just unpainted metal). The retail version that I bought came with two face plates in black and silver, two internal USB cords for hooking it up to the motherboard (one is used for the diverse card slots and the other is utilized to enable the additional USB two. port included on the front of the reader) and an external USB cord if you want to use the reader externally. The blue LED on the front of the reader is constantly on when the pc is powered up and incredibly vibrant. Even so it is hidden behind the front door of my case, so it's not an issue. There are custom icons for the diverse slot sizes that are suppose to be assigned to the corresponding drive letters and visible in a system like Windows Explorer. Nonetheless, this driver help does not exist however for Windows 7, so no custom icons are avaiable to me. I don't genuinely want the custom icons, so it's not an concern.Develop details:- Intel i7-860 (quad-core 2.8GHz)- Intel P55 ATX motherboard (DP55KG)- 8GB RAM (DDR3 1333 dual-channel)- Radeon 4870 video card 鹀MB)- Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 320GB internal challenging drives 񣚠 RPM) (x2 for separate application and scratch disks)- Seagate Barracuda LP 1TB internal tough drives 񣆌 RPM) (x2 in RAID 1 configuration)- Plextor 24x DVD/CD writer (PX-880SA)- AFT PRO-35U all-in-one USB two. card reader- Corsair 450W power supply (CMPSU-450VX)- Antec P183 case- Windows 7

Functions with all of my flash cards. Good style. What's not to like? None. I had an older AFT reader and it stopped recognizing my SDHC card. I believed it was a poor SD card at very first but it turned out to be a hardware/quality issue. This unit fixed the problem. Hopefully this one particular will final longer.

Internal Cards will not fit into device except for CF cards. I use the CF, SD , MSD sorts and of all of them only the CF fits into the reader. The drive light is way to vibrant; my case has numerous fan lights on the develop and this light makes them look dim.

Incredibly properly created! Effectively worth the added income! Comes with silver and black faceplates.Driver software program is superb. Be conscious that even without having a card plugged in to a slot, that slot nonetheless shows up as a device in My Pc. Driver adds helpful pictures and greys out empty drives so you know what's plugged in and what isn't. Drivers are unsigned, and thus I needed to do a small "coaxing" to get them to operate with Vista 64. Item still works without drivers, but it is much more disorganized in your My Computer folder. Makes use of 2 USB drives. Comes with external and internal cables.

Reads SDHC cards. Can be used internal or external. As quickly as my SanDisk external reader and it truly runs at USB two. unlike the Rosewill RCR-102 I had. Blue lights match the rest of my case. That I didn't acquire this 1 first! I assume this reader would sell a lot a lot more if it came up under Internal readers as well as Internal and External.I followed the advice below to get the icons for the drives and it worked like a champ! No a lot more guessing which drive is which. Thanks for the tip!

Comment:
Usable as internal and external, comes with black and silver faceplates, readily available in a version with color coded faceplate that could be less complicated on aging eyes (XM35U), happily reads any card I throw at it such as significant SDHC, and so on. with superb data transfer performance, and doesn't will need an adapter for micro-SD. USB pass-by means of is convenient. Blue light matches my present case's lighting. The optional software program drivers give you nifty icons in Windows that are representative of the card sorts. Can accept multiple cards simultanously and permits copying information from card to card. Works excellent in Windows XP and Windows 7, which includes 64-bit. High priced compared to any others. I wish there was a Firewire pass-by means of since so numerous instances have front and leading USB but not numerous have simple accessible Firewire connections. Not certain why the light demands to be on all the time.As usually, I advocate downloading the most up-to-date drivers from the Atech Flash internet web site, particularly before complaining about lack of assistance for precise operating technique versions.Atech support has always been fantastic, which includes cross-shipping a replacement to me when a fussy SD slot on an older 28U model triggered a bent get in touch with.1 of Atech's selling points is that the firmware on these units is upgradeable. I have by no means observed firmware upgrades for any of their units.

Matched my system beautifully. Blue led is vibrant but rest of system uses blue leds so it looks wonderful. Shows seperate drive letters for each and every reader. Supplies an additional USB port. My mistake. It does not support my Smartmedia camera card. Have to find a stand alone Smartmedia card reader now.

Many card readers Until then, it is only valuable as an additional USB hub in the front of my HAF 932 case. Wish it would've stated that in the specifications

Ideal card reader I've used. I've bought several more affordable models to put in my customer's computers but will only get this one from now on. Like some other reviewers mention the blue LED is a small bright for some folks. The tip about a spot of paint on the LED is a very good 1 if it bothers you too much. Personally I kinda like it as it goes with the blue Power LED on my case. Whilst the drive letters being added can throw some people the tip about the drive icons from the manufacturer is a superior 1. Even so when Windows 7 comes out you won't have to be concerned about it. It does not display the drives like XP and Vista do. Only when you insert a flash card will an explorer window open with the contents of the card displayed.

All the formats I need to have and even some I don't. Didn't like reading my 16GB micro SD card, haven't had significantly chance to use it with my other format cards as I've not been household. The LED on the front is a extremely bright blue, and could be an problem for some, my case has a door on the front so it wasn't.
