AMC 24" 3-Connector Teflon Coated IDE True ATA133/100 Flat Cable

Decent construction. Appears to operate nicely. Low cost. None ATA spec states IDE cables are not supposed to be longer than 18". This cable is 24", but it doesn't seem to be a dilemma. I would have looked for an 18" cable if I hadn't necessary the extra length.

provides additional reach to reach the top rated drive bays in a mid tower or full tower case none so far good location to start if you come across the 18" a little short and if you perform on computer systems, keeping one or two handy is certainly worth hunting into just in case (no pun intended)

Comments: This cable has that "extra pin" hole plugged up. Alot of older ide connectors on the motherboard of older computers had all 40 pins on them. Most newer ones and most present ide controller cards have that pin removed. Therefore this cable won't connect to those older motherboards. The method I indended on working with this on had the connector with all 40 pins. I did nonetheless have an ide controller card which I wanted to put to very good use anyways (which I also got right here).

-80 conductor-works fine-bends nicely-perfect when lots of length is required particularly in between master and slave. not round? thank goodness these are nonetheless made

Works specifically like an 80-conductor ATA100 cable should. It's a ribbon cable so cross-talk is minimized - transfer rates of connected HDs are up to snuff. None that I've encountered. ATA specifies the cable be 20" in length, but 24" cables usually are close enough to operate fine. But at least it's not a cross-talk afflicted "round" cable.

Excellent inexpensive IDE cables for those of us nonetheless running devices using IDE. These specific cables are better suited for lengthy runs, additional tidy wire management or added big instances. Purchased extra as spares. A bit longer than I anticipated, specially the gap on the main/secondary finish.

An ide cable is an ide cable they work fine. The only factor if you have an old old laptop, which as the middle pin, these cables won't work, it's been blocked off. If you obtain six it's the same cost as buying 2, sounds crazy but look for yourself.

Regular 100렝 cable, excellent excellent. If you are purchasing far more than one, you must acquire 6. With shipping and anything, you'll in fact save four cents by purchasing 6 rather of 2!

Comments: I truly ordered a 24" and received a 36". No large deal as it's for a DVD Burner rather than one of these days's super rapid IDE hard drives. I have had no troubles with it.

Extras length, good good quality None I purchased a couple of these to hook up old PATA CD drives on a couple system upgrades. That added 6 inches helps a lot for that low slung PATA port most newer Mobos have. The cable appears to be great excellent and haven't had any troubles at all.

inexpensive cable 1 of them came with bare metal showing on it was too low-cost to mess with RMA, glad I ordred a lot more than one.

Perfect length and position of the connectors for my use.Realizing the position of the connectors is just as critical as the overall length, and it's challenging to tell from the picture. So here it is: 16" + 8" (vs 12" + 6" on most 18" cables), ie the middle connector is 16" from the finish furthest away. I have a tower exactly where the bottom PCI card is too far away from the top five.25" drive bay for an 18" cable, but this one was not too brief or too long.The official max length for IDE is 18", so I put this one through its paces with some efficiency testing, and it has worked just fine so far. None. You may well also want to consider a 24" cable with the connector in the middle, or even a 36" cable.

Best length to reach the optical drives in a full-size, extended ATX case. No data transfer issues with the added length. None.

It's and IDE cable that does what it was developed to do. The round IDE cables are nicer. Browse Newegg for them prior to you get this guy. Program specs: Biostar T770, Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (brisbane), 2 gigs GeIL 6400, PNY GeForce 8800 GT 512, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.

They're affordable, great lengths, & properly-produced. None You need to see the ones I replaced...whoa!
